Never ever drink water while standing. You should always sit and drink water. The reason why you should not drink water while standing is because it will completely disrupt the balance of fluids in the body. It will also cause arthritis. Your muscles and nervous system will be much more relaxed while you are sitting and drinking water. It will also help you  digest the food easily.


Stop Chugging

You should not gulp down large volume of water in a single breath, but try taking smaller sips, breathe, stop, breathe and then drink it again. This is the same process you should follow while you are having meals. VATA, PITTA and KAPHA are the three doshas in human body, and you should consume water according to the doshas you have.

If you have vata prakruti dosha, you must consume water after one hour after having a meal. It will also help you digest the food in a much easy way. People who have pitta prakruti can have small sips of water while they are having the meal because their digestion process starts a little early. People with kapha prakurti should drink water before they have their meals so that they eat only the right amount of food. It will also help them lose weight quickly and easily.


Try To Drink Room Temperature Water

You can also have warm water. It is even a better choice. Never ever have chilled water directly because it will disturb the digestion process of your body. It also decreases the blood supply of different organs of the human body which will eventually lead to constipation.
