With only a few weeks remaining until the year’s final major championship, the Open at Portrush, players are hoping to use the preceding weeks to hone their games into peak form. And 26-year-old Aussie Min Woo Lee clearly understood the assignment, firing an opening round of 63 on Thursday that included a whopping 10 birdies.
“Everything was pretty solid,” Lee said after his round. “I think the putter was working quite nicely though.
“I have good vibes here,” he continued. “I played really well last year and had a good chance to win, so I actually really like this place, and [making] some birdies.”
