A Month in Japan

Thank goodness for Melanie!

I have used Melanie’s wonderful travel services for over six years now, and her expertise, thoughtfulness and dedication to assisting and supporting her clients are outstanding. There are many examples of how Melanie has helped me organise fabulous overseas trips, and knowing she is available if any adverse ‘situations’ arise is very reassuring. The example that immediately comes to mind is when I was in the UK when Covid hit in March 2020 and Australia’s border closure was imminent. Without her prompt response and determination to contact me and get me on a flight home as soon as possible, I would have been in a much more dire situation. Top service, wonderful

I booked my trip to USA through Melanie. A prolonged flight delay meant I missed my connection back to Australia. Arriving in L.A at midnight, tired and with unhelpful airport staff who told me to ‘come back tomorrow’. I had no idea where to go or how to get there. Melanie arranged replacement flights, accommodation for that night, shuttle service all within in 15 minutes of calling.  As a solo traveller with physical limitations this was the difference between deep distress and side adventure! Melanie is calm and professional and genuinely cares. I will certainly use her services again when travelling.

Just amazing!

Best experience

Our great Japan family trip

Our trip to Japan was nothing short of incredible, and it’s all thanks to Melanie, our amazing travel agent! From the start, Melanie listened to exactly what we wanted — a fun, family-friendly trip packed with unforgettable experiences — and she absolutely delivered. Japan Family Trip

Virgin Voyages Resilient Lady Cruise

Amazing travel agent

Melanie has organised all of my immediate and extended family holidays for many years now and every single one has been perfect. Rescued

In September 2022 I went on a holiday to the Northern lights all booked by Melanie. During my long flight from Singapore to Helsinki I had a minor medical incident and unfortunately the policy of Finnair (and I think all airlines) if there is a medical incident, land at the nearest airport and offload the passenger. I finished in Baku, Azerbaijan in the early hours of the morning. I notified Melanie as soon as I could and, even although she was heading for Spain within the next couple of days herself, Melanie had me on a flight to Heathrow, overnight accommodation at the airport, and an ongoing flight to Oslo the next day to catch up to my tour. This was all mainly caused by the delay of a Virgin flight by 10 hours out of Melbourne during the period when airline flight cancellations/delays were rampant. Melanie even had the knowledge to think ahead and suggested I fly over 1 day earlier to Oslo which I did and basically was able to catch up with my group.Thank you Melanie.

A travel agent is so much more than just the person who books the flights and hotel. Melanie completely gets that! From the pre trip organising and booking, to helping plan the most perfect itinerary, to stepping in when things go wrong (Covid anyone?) even those last minute flight unavoidable flight cancellations. Fantastic experience!

We sought after a European holiday, originally a Trafalgar tour, but that didn’t work out. Mel then helped us organize our own trip, from the airfares to the land itinerary to airport transfers.  I didn’t have to do a thing! We spent time in London, Paris, Rome and country Italy and it all went smooth sailing. Mel had booked tours for us, from Harry Potter Studios to Disneyland, Eiffel Tower Summit Tour, Vatican City, to name a few. The accommodation she organised was also all spot on. To top it off, there was an App to access all the vouchers so it was all very easy and accessible. Look no further to Mel when you want to organize your own holiday as she made ours such a memorable one!!

We highly recommend Melanie!

I cannot recommend Melanie enough!  She is currently organising our third family holiday and there is no way we could do it without her!  Melanie is so knowledgeable about all aspects of travel and thinks of all the minute details that we would have missed ourselves.  Her attention to detail means that our holidays have gone perfectly to plan and we always marvel at the way she plans for things that would not have occurred to us until we arrived.

Our most recent holiday in Vanuatu was spectacular, Melanie helped us find the perfect accommodation that met all of our family’s needs and she organised our flights and transfers too.  We are excited for our upcoming European holiday and feel confident that all is taken care of thanks to her!

A magnificent family holiday thanks to Mel!

I came into an unexpected inheritance last year and wanted to take my family on a holiday to Fiji.  I didn’t know where to start planning. A friend recommended Mel Carter and she was truly amazing.Having been to Fiji, i think I recall she said 16  times, she was an expert and Mel obviously loved the country and the people.Mel discussed our needs and made the whole process so easy; giving advice on where to stay to suit our family of 9; and always answering any queries promptly – and I did have a few along they way.  Mel was always very patient and knowledgeable.My daughters, their husbands and the 4 grandchildren aged 2, 4, and 2 x 6 year olds, and myself had the most relaxing, enjoyable holiday at the Shangri-la – the adults all admitting they had never returned from a holiday so relaxed.Many thanks to Mel.  An absolute professional who I have no hesitation in recommending should you need you need a knowledgeable and professional travel agent.

Amazing Travel Agent

I have used Melanie for all my travel over the past 6 or 7 years for both my immediate family travel as well as larger extended family trips of up to 14 people. She has always been so amazing at knowing exactly what our family wants and has helped us create some of the greatest memories. A highlight was a trip she organsised for us to South Africa which was absolutely seemless in all of the trips, flights, people meeting us for day trips and all of our connections never missed a beat. It was so wonderful knowing we had nothing to take care of except enjoying ourselves. Melanie is passionate about her work, she has such extensive knowledge of all travel destinations, pays so much attention to detail, takes time to understand exactly what you want and I couldn’t recommend her more highly. Above and Beyond Service!

Melanie has been our go to for all things travel related for years. She is by far the most dedicated travel professional there is. Her guidance and advice always focuses on us as individual people, rather than some standard cut and paste approach like other companies do. She put so much time and energy into planning our perfect trips, really ensuring it’s perfection for us. When covid hit and our European holiday had to be cancelled she spent over a year fighting for our credits and refunds for us. Long after any other agent would have thrown in the towel.
