Peter Crouch amuses fans after doing his predictor league forfeit at Farnham Town

Peter Crouch amuses fans after doing his predictor league forfeit at Farnham Town, with a video since going viral on social media.

Due to a forfeit, Peter Crouch agreed to become Farnham’s mascot and drew a record attendance for the Southern League – Premier South side.

It all started on the Peter Crouch Podcast, with the 6ft 7in 44 year old finishing bottom of his fantasy football league on his podcast.

Below, you can see the moment he discovered his punishment, and at the weekend, the moment became reality, and what a good laugh it was.

A 2-2 draw played out in front of 2,134 fans, Owen Dean putting the hosts ahead after 8 minutes, before Sholing turned the scoreline around with goals from Beaux Booth (17′) and Jake Mccarthy (35′).

Ogo Obi managed to get an equaliser for Farnham, neither side could get that winner.

The result sees Sholing sit 4th in the league table with 12 points from 6 games played, Farnham are 5th with the same points and games played. Both sides remain unbeaten.

Speaking on the Peter Crouch Podcast: “Confirmation from Farnham Town FC that we will be able to provide Crouchy with a full mascot match day experience.

“It will occur on September the 6th at Farnham’s home ground ahead of their clash with Sholing FC. Crouchy will take part in some pre-match meet and greets. He will walk out with a player, a half time show and dinner with the other mascots.

Chris Stark: Forefeit is going to be that you are going to be mascot for the day.

Peter: You telling me I’m gonna have to run out with the players that holding the players hand?

Steve Sidwell: For one you’ve got me wearing the kit for one full kit. Okay and then you’ve got to get there before kickoff and get signatures of the players because that’s what mascots do. Yeah. And then you can get a bit of lunch, pre-match lunch with the other mascot kids.

Peter: Like 10 year olds, I’ve got lunch with 10 year olds.

Steve: Yeah, yeah, yeah. And then have a little kickabout on the pitch with these mascots and then you’ve to walk out with one of the players. mean, what a day that’s going to be. This is brilliant.

Peter: I’m six foot seven.

Chris: You’re going to make the player look like a mascot. This is the crazy thing about it. If anyone is keen to witness this live, do come along. It is going to be awesome. We’ll be there as well won’t we Sids?

Steve: Oh 100%

The former England striker was rewarded with a goodybag loaded with sweets for his trouble

@WarrenBonathan: How can you not love that man, he gets it.

@alok_TTID: Peter Crouch is the best ambassador for English football. Takes a joke on himself, always goes out of his way to make people feel better, and a great commentator too. I’m glad he’s a Spurs fella.

@taylor251073: @petercrouch absolute legend 👏👏👏

@DanReilly92: Don’t think we’ll ever get footballers looking this comically tall ever again sadly. Even the tall lads nowadays look like athletes, sad to see.
