Udinese and Cagliari had to settle for a point apiece at the Bluenergy Stadium in Serie A on Sunday afternoon, but the hosts will rue their missed opportunity right at the last, which should have seen them walk away with all three points.Â

It was the visitors who claimed the first-half lead in Udine on Sunday. A series of shots from Mattia Felici and Matteo Prati were both blocked on the edge of the area, but the ball fell kindly for Borrelli from 10 yards out. He just needed to dispatch past Razvan Sava, who was already on the floor.Â
Udinese would find the equaliser just shy of the hour mark. Nicolo Zaniolo’s corner was headed back into the mixer at the far post, and Christian Kabasele was able to pull out an improvised flick to send the ball past Elia Caprile for 1-1.Â
Udinese had a glorious chance to snatch all three points in stoppage time: A defensive slip gave Keinan Davis the ball just outside the area. The Englishman’s effort was saved by Caprile, and though Vakoun Bayo had an empty net to aim at on the follow-up, he was off balance and fired off target.Â
Sunday’s result means that both teams remain level on points in the Serie A standings (eight apiece), with Cagliari occupying 10th place and Udinese in 11th.Â
