Roi RoiBinali Release Date: The tragic death of Zubeen Garg, a giant in Assamese music, has shocked the entertainment sector. On September 19, the 52-year-old passed away in Singapore after having a seizure while swimming. Zubeen Garg was passionate about his last movie, Roi RoiBinale, as said by his wife, Garima, earlier.

Popular Assamese director Rajesh Bhuyan said earlier this month that the late music icon Zubeen Garg’s personal project, Roi RoiBinale, will be released countrywide on October 31.
No tax on Zubeen’s last film?
According to The Hindu, Gaurav Gogoi, the head of the Assam Congress, urged the State Government to exclude Zubeen Garg’s final movie from taxes. The singer’s contributions to Assamese culture and history would be honoured in this way.
In a letter to Assam’s Chief Minister HimantaBiswaSarma on Monday (October 27, 2025), Gogoi wrote, “Roi RoiBinale is the final cinematic work of the late Garg. His untimely passing last month has left the people of Assam with a profound sense of loss. While the investigation into the tragic incident continues, citizens across the State continue to honour his memory and immense cultural contributions.”
All first-day tickets pre-booked
Set to release in 46 cities on October 31, a member from Roi RoiBinale‘s production team further stated, “All first-day tickets for the film to be shown on 90 screens in Assam have been pre-booked. To meet the unprecedented demand, cinema halls across the State have added early morning shows, some starting as early as 6 AM.”
