Dharmendra, one of the biggest stars of the Indian film industry, breathed his last on November 24, 2025. He was 89. Dharmendra – who had essayed some of the most popular and adored characters in Hindi cinema – was respected not only for his acting potential, but also the ease with which he won hearts while meeting fans in real life. The superstar, fondly referred to as Bollywood’s ‘He-Man’ appeared in 300 films. Some of his most popular films were Ayee Milan Ki Bela, Phool Aur Patthar, Aaye Din Bahar Ke, Seeta Aur Geeta, Raja Jani, Jugnu, Yaadon Ki Baaraat, Dost, Sholay, Pratiggya, Charas, and Dharam Veer, among others.

News of the Bollywood star’s death made headlines earlier today when an emergency response ambulance was spotted outside Sunny Deol’s residence. Soon, Dharmendra’s wife and actor Hema Malini and daughter Esha Deol were spotted arriving at the cremation ground. Soon, the news was announced on several social media pages.

Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan were seen arriving at the Vile Parle Crematorium on November 24 to pay their last respects to Dharmendra. Dharmendra’s demise left his family and friends in a state of shock. Many felt that the star – they will continue to adore and respect for years – deserved a grand goodbye. In a video titled as ‘Final Journey’, a user commented, “He should have been given a grand goodbye… very sad last rites.” Next user wrote, “Jitni jaldi yeh family le ja rahi hai last rites ke liye, lag raha hai bas wait hi kar rahe the.” Another comment read, “Itni badi hasti ko is tarah vida kiya… it’s sad.” “Why are they rushing the cremation?” was another question asked by a user. “Bahut disappointing last rite,” and “Zindagi camera ke beech guzar di… aur aakhri safar itna private? Itne bade aadmi ko is tarah vidā karna theek nahi,” others posted.
