Dharmendra Death: The news of demise of veteran actor Dharmendra came left many in a state of shock. Three days after his demise, wife and veteran actor Hema Malini took to X to share her first reaction remembering him. Dharmendra breathed his last on November 24 in Mumbai. He was 89. On Thursday, November 27, Hema put out an emotional tribute on social media, and said he was “many things” to her. In her heartfelt note, Hema posted, “Dharam ji (heart emoji) He was many things to me. Loving husband, adoring father of our two girls, Esha & Ahaana, friend, philosopher, guide, poet, my ‘go to’ person in all times of need – in fact, he was everything to me! And always has been through good times and bad (sic).’
Hema Malini was quick to refer to the loss as ‘indescribable’. “My personal loss is indescribable and the vacuum created is something that will last through the rest of my life. After years of togetherness, I am left with myriad memories to relive the many special moments,” she added.

In a couple of tweets, Hema also shared some photos with the Sholay actor. She wrote, “Togetherness over the years – always there for us?Some special moments.. (sic).”
Dharmendra and Hema Malini got married in 1980. Ahead of their marriage, both were reportedly in a relationship for five years. In 1981, they were blessed with their first daughter Esha Deol. Four years later, in 1985, Hema delivered her second daughter, Ahana Deol.
Dharmendra’s prayer meet
The Deol family has organised a prayer meet for the veteran actor Dharmendra in Mumbai. It will be organised three days after his demise. This will be the last time the film fraternity and his fans will get to pay homage to the ‘He-Man’ of Bollywood.
