June 20 witnessed release of two big films. Aamir Khan‘s movie Sitaare Zameen Par hit the theatres along with Dhanush‘ film Kuberaa. Both the films received good reviews and took a grand opening at the box office. In the first three days, both the films managed to get close to Rs 50 crore mark with the domestic business. Now, all the eyes are on the day 4 box office collection of Sitaare Zameen Par and Kuberaa. Even Akshay Kumar’s Housefull 5 is still running in the theatres. So here’s the latest box office report of the three films.
Sitaare Zameen Par box office report
As reported by Sacnilk.com, Aamir Khan and Genelia Dsouza’s movie Sitaare Zameen Par has made around Rs 1.51 crore on first Monday so far. The numbers will increase as the day passes. However, there is a possibility that the numbers may not match up to the film’s day 3 collection. So far, the total collection of Sitaare Zameen Par is Rs 59.66 crore.
Kuberaa box office report
On the other hand, Kuberaa starring Dhanush, Rashmika Mandanna and Nagarjuna is serving a good competition to Sitaare Zameen Par. So far, on first Monday, the movie has made around Rs 1.37 crore. The film seems to be on par with Aamir Khan-starrer. The total collection of the movie currently stands at Rs 49.97 crore. First Monday serves as a litmus test for films and it looks like the movies will witness a drop in numbers but will manage to hold strong.
Housefull 5 box office report
Talking about Housefull 5, Akshay Kumar’s film has now slowed down at the box office. Sitaare Zameen Par is serving as a tough competition to Akshay Kumar’s multi-starrer film. As we write this story, Housefull 5 has made around Rs 0.3 crore at the box office on its third Monday. The movie also starring Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Fardeen Khan, Nana Patekar, Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff and others released on June 6.
