Diljit Dosanjh’s upcoming film Sardaar Ji 3 is mired in massive controversy over Pakistani artist Hania Aamir being the lead heroine. The movie is going to release on June 27.
Diljit Dosanjh‘s name got mired in a major controversy with the release of Sardaar ji 3 trailer. The movie features Pakistani actress Hania Aamir. Her presence in the movie has called for a major backlash owing to the political tension between the two countries following the terrorist attack. After the Pahalgam terror attack, Pakistani artists were banned from working in India. Though Sardaar Ji 3 makers have decided to skip film’s India release, Diljit is still being slammed over this collaboration. Amid this, his cryptic note has drawn attention.
Diljit Dosanjh’s cryptic post goes viral
Diljit Dosanjh took to his Instagram stories to share a note that is in context with his movie Punjab 95. His movie Punjab 95 based on the life of human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra was to release in February this year. However, due to censorship hurdles, it got delayed. The post made by Diljit Dosanjh reads, “Censored before Release”. It is being assumed as it is his subtly reaction to the ongoing controversy around Sardaar ji 3.

FWICE reacts to Diljit Dosanjh-Hania Aamir’s collaboration
Earlier, Diljit had shared the trailer of the film with the caption, “Sardaar Ji 3 releasing 27th June OVERSEAS Only. FADH LAO BHOOND DIAN LATTAN.” Post this, the actor-singer got slammed on social media for collaborating with Pakistani artist. In fact, FWICE even called for a ban on all his upcoming projects and songs. To Hindustan Times, BN Tiwari, President of the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) stated that Diljit has hurt the Indian sentiments and disrespected the nation by collaborating with a Pakistani actor. However, the producer of the movie has defended the move by stating that the film was shot before the terrorist attack that took place in Jammu & Kashmir. The GOAT singer is yet to directly react to the controversy.
