After the arrest of Tamil actor Srikanth in relation to the drugs case, another actor named Krishna has been reportedly detained by Chennai Police for questioning in the case.
A few high-profile names have been attached to a drug case busted in Tamil Nadu. Actor Srikanth was recently arrested by Chennai Police in connection with the drug case and remanded to judicial custody till July 7. Now, as per reports, actor named Krishna has been detained by the police in this drug case. Allegedly, he was summoned for questioning after a confession was made by one of the accused named Pradeep Kumar.
Actor Krishna detained in drugs case
As per a report in Hindu, actor Krishna appeared in front of police for preliminary questioning on Wednesday. Reportedly, the actor denied usage of drugs. A senior official reportedly stated that Krishna denied using drugs citing that he has severe allergy to narcotics since 2018. He also mentioned that he is undergoing treatment for heart condition. Actor Krishna is said to have denied having any ties with the said accused Pradeep Kumar. However, he did say that he was on friendly terms with Srikanth, says the report. Further, it is being reported that the actor will be taken for medical examination and a house search would be conducted. Actor Krishna has been a part of movies like Anjali, Iruvar, and Thalapathy. He hails from a filmy family with his father being a producer. He is the brother of Vishnu Vardhan.
Another report in Times of India suggests that actor Krishna was grilled for over 17-hours by police in this case. He was reportedly asked about his bank transactions, mobile communications and more. It is his medical examination that will now decide his fate.
Two actresses under the radar
Apart from actor Krishna and Srikanth, it is being reported that two leading actresses are also under the scanner as per a report. Srikanth was arrested on June 23. Reportedly, his blood samples tested positive for narcotics. He was then produced in front of the magistrate who remanded him into judicial custody till July 7. Reportedly, the actor has applied for bail.
