Meanwhile, Rekha recalled a very touching incident involving Jaya Bachchan during the trial screening of the 1978 blockbuster movie “Muqaddar Ka Sikandar” in a nostalgic interview with Stardust magazine. At the Muqaddar Ka Sikandar trial screening, Rekha disclosed that she could see the Bachchan family well from the projection room. She was profoundly affected by what she saw.

Rekha revealed that at the trial screening of Muqaddar Ka Sikandar, she could see Jaya Bachchan crying after watching the love scenes between Rekha and Amitabh Bachchan.
“Once, I was looking at the whole (Bachchan) family through the projection room when they came to see the trial show of Muqaddar Ka Sikandar. Jaya was sitting in the front row, and he (Amitabh) and his parents were in the row behind her… During our love scenes, I could see tears pouring down her face.”
