Actor Mandar Chandwadkar, who plays the role of Atmaram Tukaram Bhide in the popular sitcom reacted to the show ruling the TRP charts and dethroning other shows. Mandar seemingly took a dig at those who left the show and stated that despite everything the show has always held its ground.

Actor Mandar has now become a household name with his exceptional performance in the show. “We feel truly proud that even after 17 years, we continue to receive immense love from fans. They shower the same love that they gave in the beginning. The show is still doing well in terms of TRPs, and that’s a big achievement. As we complete 17 years and step into the 18th, I want to congratulate the entire team on this incredible milestone. Over the years, many people have come and gone, but this show has always held its ground. The biggest reason behind that is our producer, Asit Kumarr Modi. He still sits with the writers every day, working closely on each story and every character,” Mandar told ETimes.

Mandar also said that their show has been topping the TRP list because people are loving the current Bhootni track. He even said that audiences love to see Gokuldhamwasis in trouble and the reaction to the Bhootni track is awesome. He even added that the fans of the show are making reels and memes. Mandar aka Bhide’s dance to the funny music gained instant popularity among the masses. He said that due to social media, they get instant reactions about the sequence from the viewers and said that viewers keep looking forward to different episodes.

Mandar also promised a mega twist in the upcoming episodes and said that the makers are all set for a major twist in the climax. He also said that things are getting funnier with each episode. He further added saying that “What makes this track unique is that, for the first time, there’s just one girl, but two completely different perspectives about her and that’s where the comedy and confusion really take off.”

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’s current plot is about a ghost named Chakori who started scaring everyone and Bhide was the first who spot her. Popatlal got trapped and revealed the truth about Chakori.
