Iga Świątek recently won her sixth Grand Slam title and her maiden grass-court Major title at the 2025 Wimbledon Championships, making her the first Polish player to do so.
With her victory at Wimbledon, Świątek has now claimed Grand Slam titles on all three surfaces: hard, clay, and grass. She won four titles at the French Open, one at the US Open, and now one at Wimbledon. This triumph also brought her Grand Slam final record to six wins and no losses.
Actress Courteney Cox Attended Iga Świątek’s Wimbledon Final
Seeded eighth at the 2025 Wimbledon Championships, Świątek delivered a commanding performance in the final, defeating 13th-seeded Amanda Anisimova 6-0, 6-0 to win the trophy.
Following her victory, the former World No. 1 ran up to the stands to celebrate with her team, which included her coach Wim Fissette, performance psychologist Daria Abramowicz, and physiotherapist Maciej Ryszczuk, among others. She also celebrated with her father, Tomasz Świątek, and sister, Agata Świątek.
Świątek was next seen being congratulated and hugged by American actress Courteney Cox, known for her role in the iconic American sitcom “Friends.”
This was not the first encounter between Świątek and Cox; three years prior, in 2022, the actress had shared a video on social media of herself playing tennis, to which the former World No. 1, an avid fan of “Friends,” commented that if they played doubles together, no one would be able to defeat them. This exchange marked the beginning of their friendly rapport.

Recently, in the lead-up to the 2025 Wimbledon Championships, Świątek competed at the Bad Homburg Open, where she finished as the runner-up after losing to Jessica Pegula in the final. Following the conclusion of the tournament, the actress praised Świątek, calling her “incredible.”
Therefore, it was not surprising that Cox was present during Świątek’s final match at the 2025 Wimbledon Championships. Many tennis fans also had delightful reactions to the American actress’s presence at the London Major.
