Animal actress Triptii Dimri is ready to team up again with filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga for Spirit after Animal. In her recent interview, she spoke about her bond with him.
Bollywood actress Triptii Dimri is currently busy promoting her much-anticipated romantic drama Dhadak 2, which also features Siddhant Chaturvedi opposite her. The movie will hit theatres on August 1, 2025. Ahead of the film’s release, Triptii and Siddhant have been busy discussing the film. During one of the recent chats, Triptii talked about her crucial project – Spirit – which is being directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and features Prabhas. Triptii was roped in following Deepika Padukone’s exit.
What did Triptii Dimri say about working with Sandeep Reddy Vanga in Spirit?
While speaking to Bollywood Hungama, actress Triptii Dimri spoke at length about her experience of collaborating with acclaimed filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga. As she does varied roles, Triptii shared her thoughts on how different the experience is while working with Sandeep.
On being asked if Sandeep Reddy Vanga, who earlier directed Kabir Singh and Animal, has a different approach as compared to Dhadak 2 director Shazia Iqbal, Triptii lauded both for the unique aspects they infuse, which further help her as an actor.
“Yeah, it’s good to work with different directors, because you learn so much,” she explained. “Every filmmaker brings their own sensibility, their own energy to a project, and that automatically pushes you to adapt and grow. I’ve just been working with Vishal, and that film is also going to come out soon, so I’m quite excited about that,” she added.
Why did Deepika Padukone exit Spirit?
The recent controversy between Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone and director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, which led to her exit from the film Spirit, resulted in a discussion about the need to strike a work-life balance in the Indian film industry. Deepika Padukone was initially roped in opposite Prabhas in Spirit. But there were disagreements over working conditions. Deepika had also requested an eight-hour workday and other professional terms.
