In 2000, a spectacular Pink Topaz and Diamond Brooch and a pair of Pink Topaz and Diamond Earrings were sold at Auction for £22,925 for at Sotheby’s. According to the auction notes, the pieces date from the 1830s and were thought to have once been part of a larger jewel such as a tiara or necklace.
In 2006, the Duchess of Cornwall debuted the Pink Topaz and Diamond Earrings at a Dinner in Islamabad during a visit to Pakistan.
The following year, the Pink Topaz Brooch was set as the clasp of a long pearl necklace, which was only notably worn once around 2007.
By 2008, the Duchess of Cornwall had the Pink Topaz Clasp set into a five-strand Pearl Choker which she debuted at the Wedding of Peter Phillips and also frequently wore for Trooping the Colour and Royal Ascot, as well as the Prince of Wales’ 60th Birthday Dinner at Buckingham Palace in 2008.
The Duchess of Cornwall wore the five-strand Pearl Choker with the Pink Topaz Clasp for the Queen’s 90th Birthday Celebration at Windsor Castle, a Garden Party at Buckingham Palace, Royal Ascot in 2017, and also the Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in 2018.
The Pearl Choker with the Pink Topaz Clasp was also paired with the Greville Tiara for gala events, like the Commonwealth Banquet in Malta in 2015 and also the Dutch State Visit to Britain in 2018.
