Cardiff and Swansea fans hit back at a claim that Wrexham are overtaking them as the bigger club of the Welsh rivals.
The 2024/25 season saw Cardiff City relegated to League One, preparing for life in third tier for the first time in 22 years, Wrexham took their place by winning promotion, and Swansea City get set their eighth consecutive Championship season.
Wrexham fan Dewi (@DewiHughes_) tweeted: “Overtaking Cardiff and Swansea who’ve treated us an irrelevant bit of dirt on the bottom of their shoes is unbelievably satisfying, isn’t it?”

Fair to say that caused quite the reaction from many fans, with @ShropshireJacks replying: “Lots of fans aren’t bothered either. I used to root for you lot to come through and be successful but slowly you can see the arrogance? Might be wrong? Be good to see you actually have an academy and produce some talent for the national team for once…”
