Inside Bonnie Blue’s Channel 4 documentary

Controversial adult content creator Bonnie Blue is set to star in her own Channel 4 documentary, 1000 Men and Me: The Bonnie Blue Story, tomorrow night (July 28).

Already, before even being shown to the public, the one-off episode is already a hot topic. On Loose Women earlier today, the panel had a heated discussion about the porn star. Viewers also shared their honest opinions.

But what’s the fuss all about? And what will the documentary actually be showing us? Keep reading to find out…

Bonnie’s Channel 4 documentary is named after her record-breaking stunt, where she slept with more than 1,000 men in 12 hours.

Since then, Bonnie, 26, has continued to cause a divide among the public, having appeared on Andrew Tate’s podcast and been banned from OnlyFans after planning a “Petting Zoo” stunt.

According to The Independent, the documentary finds Bonnie in the middle of her record-breaking stunt, which took place in January and was held at a venue in central London.

In the doc, the outlet revealed that footage showed “painfully mediocre men queuing up in just their white ankle socks”. Each of them reportedly has “precisely 41 seconds to penetrate Bonnie for the operation to be successfully completed”.

A clip shows Bonnie asking one of the men outside the designated house: “What are you going to do to me in there, then?” To which, he responds: “Err, everything.”

On camera, Bonnie allegedly doesn’t ask for STI checks. However, according to the rules on OnlyFans, everyone has to provide their ID and use a condom.

While preparing for the scandalous stunt, someone of Bonnie’s team members told her they had ordered “20 tubes of KY Jelly, even got a numbing one, I think – there’s no way you’re going to be in pain”.

After the men are finished with Bonnie, they are captured bragging about their day. “I was number 641,” one is caught saying.

Bonnie Blue catches illness

The documentary then cuts straight to Bonnie a few days later. She appears in Las Vegas, where she’s caught the flu.

“She’s incredibly ordinary behind the scenes,” documentary director Victoria Silver told viewers. “She likes her table crafts and telly – funny documentaries, crime, watching Dexter.”

Bonnie’s mum also appears in the documentary, where she defends her daughter. In a clip, she admitted she was unsure about her daughter’s controversial job at first. However, when she saw the money she was making, she then changed her mind.

The Independent insisted the documentary “presents the messy contradictions of a woman who has weaponised her sexuality for influence, profit and notoriety in a world that already commodifies women by default”.

Girls ‘not being paid’

According to The Mirror, the documentary follows Bonnie over the past six months. The outlet alleged the Channel 4 crew and director “rarely question her about the abuse she gives to other women”.

Despite being said to be making millions, her financial claims also go unquestioned or unproven. With that in mind, Bonnie reportedly “uses other girls to make one film”. The girls claimed they were “not being paid”.

When asked about making the documentary, Channel 4 told the Mirror: “Part of Channel 4’s remit is to reflect modern Britain and stimulate debate amongst viewers, and a film such as this, exploring changing attitudes to sex, success, porn, and feminism in an ever-evolving online world is an important addition to those conversations.

“Channel 4 has a track record of programmes that examine the porn industry from a variety of perspectives. In the last two years, we have broadcast programmes such as Sex Actually with Alice Levine that looked at a range of sexual experiences, while OnlyFans Got Me Fired: Untold and Confessions of a Cam Girl showed the personal cost of porn for content creators.”

Channel 4 defends multiple sex scenes

The network also defended its decision to show Bonnie having sex multiple times throughout the documentary.

“Careful consideration has been given to the content and the way in which it is included,” Channel 4 added.

“The explicit content in the documentary is editorially justified and provides essential context; making pornographic content is Bonnie’s job, and this film is about her work and the response to it. Crucially, the content is presented in a non-gratuitous manner and viewers will be alerted of the sexual content in a programme warning at the start to ensure they understand from the outset the nature of the programme.”

Bonnie Blue: 1,000 Men and Me airs on Channel 4 at 10pm on Tuesday (July 29).
