August 2025 has big updates for Xbox Game Pass subscribers, with three titles leaving in two weeks, out of which one may disappoint a lot of fans. But not all is bad. The good news is that while these games may no longer be available via subscription, there is already a new addition to the catalog, and one is coming soon.
Every month, Xbox Game Pass adds some new and older titles, many of which are available to play day one. So, the cycle of games regularly being added and removed isn’t something new. But if you are a fan of any of these games, you may want to pick them while they are still on sale.
Persona 3 Reload And Two Other Games Leave GamePass In August
In a recent update to the Xbox Game Pass Catalog, these are the games that will no longer be playable from August 15, 2025:
- Persona 3 Reload
- Farming Simulator 22
- Anthem
Luckily, you can pick up Persona 3 Reload, one of the best JRPGs of all time, and Farming Simulator 22 for 20% off before August 15, while the games are still a part of the catalog. As for Anthem, if you want to try out the game, you will have to do it while it is still available.
Anthem is not being removed just from the Xbox Game Pass but also from EA Play. As per EA’s game update, the game is to be sunsetted on January 12, 2026, and will be playable until then if you have it on your digital library. You can no longer buy any new in-game currency, but you will be able to spend what you already have.
As for the new additions, Farming Simulator 25 is already available to play for both PC and Console. Or you could try out Grounded 2 or Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, some of the recent releases from last month, from their Featured section.
Finally, for the new games that are coming soon for the rest of the month, we have Gears of War: Reloaded. So far, this is the confirmed game, but Xbox may add or reveal new games in the coming days.
