Popular actress and politician Smriti Irani made her comeback on TV with Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 as Tulsi Virani. Fans are jumping in joy as they get emotional seeing Mihir and Tulsi on the small screens. The TRP ratings of this week are out, and Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 is at the top of the charts. Smriti Irani starrer beats Anupamaa and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai to rank in the top spot. In an interview with Times Now, Smriti revealed not being worried about Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2’s TRP ratings.
Smriti Irani REVEALS being unfazed by TRP ratings
During the chat, Smriti Irani said that the team had set the standards during the first season of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. She even said that she does not fully rely on TV ratings, as they are on OTT too. She said that she is watching herself for the first time on OTT. She said that their show had a rating of 31 and none of the shows were able to touch the 31 rating. Smriti Irabi said that their worst rating was 22 and in today’s time, no show has been able to touch the number.
Smriti Irani REVEALS a female producer had pushed the show to a late-night slot
Smriti Irani said that, “Wo story jise raat ke bohot hi ajeeb o gareeb slot main dhakela gaya kyuki ek mahila producer ek story ko lekar bohot utsahit thi. Ek bohot bada show 9 baje aane wala tha star plus pe aur us show aur hmare beech faasla bohot tha.” She further said that the story was once told at a very odd and obscure hour on television, pushed to a late-night slot, because a female producer was passionately backing it.
Talking about Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2, the Ekta Kapoor-produced show stars Amar Upadhyay, Shakti Anand, Ketki Dave, Hiten Tejwani, Gauri Pradhan, Rohit Suchanti, Shagun Sharma, Aman Gandhi and others in interesting roles. The show got 2.5 rating in the first week and 2.3 rating in this week.
