Churros, Mickey-shaped ice cream, pretzels, and candy, along with other park favorites, are as much a part of the experience as the rides. Many of these iconic Disneyland snacks are available in both Disneyland and California Adventure, making it easy for park hoppers to grab their favorites along the way.
As Los Angeles locals, Disneyland has always felt like our backyard playground, especially for those with passes. On our most recent visit, we made a beeline for some of these must-have snacks. Here’s what to put on your snack list before your next visit. As we try new snacks that deserve a spot, we’ll add them here, so check back before your next Disneyland trip.

Corn Dog
The Little Red Wagon on Main Street has been serving up the classic Disneyland corn dog for decades, and it was the first thing I ate on my latest Disney trip. It’s crispy, golden, and tastes like the most delicious hushpuppy stuffed with a hot dog. It is one of those guilty, greasy pleasures you can’t help but love. You can also grab one at Corn Dog Castle in California Adventure if you’re park hopping.

Churro
If there’s one snack that everyone can get on board for at Disneyland, it’s the churro. You’ll find carts across both parks, and seasonal flavors pop up often, though the classic cinnamon-sugar is hard to beat, and you don’t want to leave the park without having one.
I used to think the churro at Universal Studios Hollywood was better (blasphemy, I know). Still, on this last visit, I grabbed one from Willie’s Churros in California Adventure at just the right time, and it was perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. It was so good, we finished it in seconds.

Dole Whip
This pineapple soft-serve is as refreshing as it is classic Disneyland fun, and on a hot day, it’s the best sugary refresher you can get. I’ve had it at Oahu’s Dole Plantation and even at Raging Waters, but having one at Disneyland is a whole different experience. Grab yours and find a shady spot nearby to take a break from the crowds.
You can find it at the Tiki Juice Bar, just outside the Enchanted Tiki Room in Adventureland. It’s mobile order only, so plan for pickup. You can also head to The Tropical Hideaway, where you can walk up and order a cup of Dole Whip, swirl, or float.

Mickey Pretzel
There’s something about the Mickey shape that makes this salty, soft pretzel taste better. Maybe it’s just my imagination, but it’s one of those classic Disneyland snacks you can’t miss. They’re easy to find throughout both parks, and you can pair them with cheese sauce or try one of the limited seasonal dipping sauces that pop up throughout the year.

Mickey Beignets
There is no list without Mickey beignets. They’re warm, fluffy, and covered in so much powdered sugar that you’ll be wearing some by the time you’re done. They may not be exactly like the beignets you’d find in New Orleans, but they’re delicious in their way and have become a Disneyland tradition.
The Mint Julep Bar in New Orleans Square is the place to grab them, and they come three to an order. And while you’re there, you might as well treat yourself to a mint julep. You can also try the House-Filled Celebration Beignet at Tiana’s Palace, filled with raspberry mousse.

Smoked Turkey Leg
Massive, smoky, and a little over the top, this is one of Disneyland’s most talked-about snacks and a park staple for years. If you’re on a protein kick or looking for something on the health‑ish side, this one is a must.
You’ll find turkey legs at carts throughout both parks, usually the traditional turkey leg, though you can sometimes spot variations like lemon and pepper. It’s also shareable if you don’t want to tackle it alone, and you’ll smell it long before you see it.

Popcorn
This classic fair food is one of the simplest Disneyland snacks, but for some reason, kids are absolute magnets for it. You’ll see popcorn carts scattered throughout both parks, many offering collectible popcorn buckets that have become fan-favorite souvenirs. The Outpost Popcorn Mix at Kat Saka’s Kettle in Galaxy’s Edge is a regular menu item, while other flavored options—like dill pickle or seasonal blends—rotate throughout the year.

Mickey Ice Cream Bar
Simple and nostalgic, the Mickey Ice Cream Bar is one of those snacks that just feels like Disneyland and somehow makes your day there feel complete. It’s vanilla ice cream coated in a thick chocolate shell, shaped like Mickey, and easy to find at ice cream carts throughout both parks.

Chocolate-Dipped and Caramel Apples
It usually starts with watching them get dipped behind the glass at the Candy Palace on Main Street. Something about seeing the caramel swirl and the chocolate drizzle tempts you into buying one, even if you swore you were just browsing. These apples are coated, dipped, and dressed up for the season or your favorite character. They’re almost too cute to eat, but worth it once you do. They’re big enough to share or make a fun treat to bring home, if they actually make it that far.
In Disneyland, you can find them at Candy Palace and Pooh Corner in Critter Country. Over in California Adventure, head to Trolley Treats on Buena Vista Street for a display case just as tempting.

Mickey-Shaped Candy
These treats are as cute as they are sweet. You’ll see Mickey-shaped Rice Krispies treats, marshmallow wands, and other character-themed candy lined up behind the glass in the park’s confectionery shops. They’re super photogenic and make great edible gifts or souvenirs to bring home at the end of the night.

Fan-Favorite Bonus Snacks
If you’ve still got room, these are the snacks that fans rave about. Each one has built a loyal following over time, and they’re all worth seeking out if you’re looking to try something beyond the classics.
Raspberry Rose Mickey Macaron
The Raspberry Rose Mickey Macaron at Jolly Holiday is almost too pretty to eat. It’s a large Mickey-shaped macaron filled with raspberry mousse and fresh raspberries, with just a hint of rose flavor. If you have a sweet tooth, this one is for you because it is really sweet. The size and sweetness make it shareable, but feel free to keep it to yourself if you prefer.

Matterhorn Macaroon
Shaped like the mountain from Disneyland’s classic Matterhorn Bobsleds ride, this coconut treat is dense, sweet, and topped with a layer of white chocolate “snow” and sometimes with a healthy dusting of sprinkles. It has a loyal following thanks to its chewy texture and nostalgic charm. It also pairs surprisingly well with a morning coffee if you’re stopping by Jolly Holiday early in the day.

Jack-Jack Cookie Num Num
As a chocolate chip cookie lover, this is one of my favorite treats. Served warm and gooey, the Jack-Jack Cookie Num Num is a deep-dish chocolate chip cookie that feels like it came straight out of the oven. It’s rich, sweet, and big enough to share, though it might be hard to part with once you’ve had a bite. Seriously. This cookie cart is tucked away right beneath the Incredicoaster in California Adventure, near the bathrooms, and you’ll miss it if you’re not looking for it.

Pickles
This one may surprise you. Disney pickles are a thing. They’re cold, salty, and have a nice crisp bite, making them one of the better-for-you snack options you can find across both parks. You’ll usually see classic dill, and sometimes a spicy version too. If you’re one of the first to buy one at the Market Street Fruit Cart near the Disneyland entrance, you might (totally at random) be awarded a “First Pickle” button from a Cast Member.

Lobster Nachos
Some may call this a meal, but I call it a snack because I fully plan to eat it mid-day and still keep eating my way through the park. The Lobster Nachos at Lamplight Lounge come loaded with cheese, black beans, pico de gallo, chipotle crema, and chunks of lobster. They have a bit of a cult following, so plan to join the waitlist or make a reservation to sit down and enjoy them. And if you feel like it, pair them with one of Lamplight’s signature cocktails.

Boudin Sourdough Bread
If you love sourdough, California Adventure is the place to get it. Pacific Wharf Café serves fresh bread bowls filled with clam chowder or broccoli cheddar soup, and you can also grab the bread on its own. They sell Mickey-shaped sourdough loaves to take home, but if you can’t wait until you get there, no one will judge you for starting in the park.
For a quick break, step into the Boudin Bakery Tour right next door. It’s a short walk-through where you can watch bakers shaping loaves behind the glass.
