With only 69 of the top 70 players on Tour in the field, the FedEx St. Jude has a predictably crowded leaderboard heading into the second round.
Akshay Bhatia holds the lead after firing an eight-under 62 in Round 1. Beginning the tournament at 45th in the FedEx Cup standings, Bhatia needs a big finish this week to remain in the top 50 and stay alive in the playoffs.
But he’s got plenty of fearsome company with 54 holes to play at TPC Southwind. That includes Tommy Fleetwood (seven under), Justin Rose (six under), Rickie Fowler (four under), Collin Morikawa (four under) and World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler (three under).
