Does Omarion Hampton Have a Girlfriend? A Look at the Chargers RB’s Dating Life

Widely projected to be a bell cow back at the next level, Omarion Hampton was one of the best running backs in the 2025 NFL Draft, arguably second only to Ashton Jeanty. The Los Angeles Chargers selected him with the 22nd overall pick, and he is ready for his rookie season.

Hampton went viral during his final college game at North Carolina when a girl on the sidelines was caught thirsting over him. As it turned out, that was his girlfriend.

Who Is Chargers RB Omarion Hampton Dating?

Hampton was born in Forest City, North Carolina, and moved to Clayton, North Carolina, during his teenage years. He played high school football at Cleveland High School, where he starred at running back for four seasons. As a senior, he was named North Carolina’s High School Football Player of the Year and earned four-star recruit status.

Top college programs from around the country recruited him, but he chose to stay close to home and play for North Carolina. As a freshman, Hampton played in every game and started four. He became the first freshman to rush for over 100 yards at UNC since 1946.

His production took off over the next two seasons, and by the time he was a sophomore and junior, he was one of the top backs in the country. He was named to multiple All-American teams and was a finalist for the Doak Walker Award during his decorated college career.

Hampton ended his college career a year and a game early by declaring for the 2025 NFL Draft. Still, he traveled to Boston to support the Tar Heels at Fenway Park in their final game. His girlfriend went viral after she seductively licked her lips when Hampton yawned, a moment caught live on ESPN.

The clip exploded online, and Hampton addressed it himself.

“That’s my girl chill,” he posted on X.

Hampton and Lilly Hader made their relationship public a couple of months ago via a post on Instagram.

We might see Heder at the Chargers’ games this upcoming season and the AFC West team will hope that the star rookie makes an immediate impact in the NFL.

Hampton Brings Power, Patience, Punishment as Classic Tone-Setter

“A violent, downhill runner, Hampton offers outstanding size, strength and power,” PFSN’s Brentley Weissman wrote in his scouting report. “He is a power back first and foremost, but he offers excellent short-area quickness and explosiveness. Hampton has a massive frame and is densely built to withstand contact and deliver punishment as a tempo-setting ball carrier.

“As an inside runner, Hampton displays very good patience and vision. He allows his blockers to get to their spots, patiently waiting as he scans the field, and then he explodes through the hole. Hampton has very good foot quickness and is light enough on his feet to sift through trash while working through the line of scrimmage. His ability to quickly scan and diagnose creases and gaps while he presses the line of scrimmage as a ball carrier is excellent, and he is able to react off his reads in an efficient manner.

“One of Hampton’s many difference-making qualities is his contact balance. He is extremely hard to tackle and consistently runs behind his pads as defenders bounce off of him. When defenders look to make contact, Hampton explodes through impact, keeping his leg drive strong to continue running through the defender. He is outstanding in short-yardage runs and almost always gains positive yards.”

Preview for Saints vs. Chargers Preseason Week 1 Matchup

The Chargers are coming off a win in the Pro Football Hall of Fame Game against the Detroit Lions. However, they suffered a significant loss this past week.

Star left tackle Rashawn Slater suffered a season-ending injury, and he will be a massive miss for Jim Harbaugh’s team, who are viewed as a Super Bowl contender. They will hope no other players get hurt before the start of the season.

As the battle for the New Orleans Saints’ QB1 spot heats up, both Tyler Shough and Spencer Rattler will get enough opportunities to impress in the preseason.

Rattler is expected to start in the Week 1 preseason game against the Chargers, but it wouldn’t surprise many if the Saints’ rookie also gets some reps.
