Frances Tiafoe’s girlfriend, Ayan Broomfield, recently reacted to his heartfelt birthday tribute dedicated to her on her special day. Broomfield celebrated her 28th birthday on Wednesday, August 13.
Tiafoe and Broomfield have been dating for nearly a decade, starting in 2015. They made their relationship public in 2018. Broomfield is a social media and fashion influencer and a former professional tennis player. She competed on the WTA Tour in the doubles event alongside her compatriot Maria Patrascu at the 2014 Coupe Banque Nationale.

On Broomfield’s birthday, Tiafoe took to social media to share a series of photographs featuring her and some cherished moments they have shared together. In his post, the former World No. 10 expressed his pride in watching Broomfield’s personal and professional growth.
Tiafoe also conveyed that he was “thankful” for having the opportunity to call her his partner.

On the tennis side of things, Tiafoe most recently competed at the 2025 Cincinnati Open, where he was seeded 10th. After receiving a first-round bye, he began his campaign in the second round, aiming to improve on his runner-up finish from 2024.
In his opening match, Tiafoe defeated Roberto Carballés Baena with a scoreline of 6-4, 6-3. He then triumphed over 20th seed Ugo Humbert, winning 6-4, 6-4 in the third round. However, in the fourth round against seventh seed Holger Rune, the 27-year-old had to retire from the match due to a lower back injury.

Last year, at the 2024 US Open, Tiafoe was seeded 20th. He started his campaign by defeating compatriot Aleksandar Kovacevic in the first round with a scoreline of 6-4, 6-3, 4-6, 7-5. He then overcame Alexander Shevchenko in the second round, winning 6-4, 6-1, 1-0 retd.
The former World No. 10 registered a 4-6, 7-5, 6-7(5), 6-3, 6-3 win over 13th seed Ben Shelton and followed that up by defeating 28th seed Alexei Popyrin 6-4, 7-6(3), 2-6, 6-4 in the third and fourth rounds, respectively. In the quarterfinals, he faced ninth seed Grigor Dimitrov, winning 6-3, 6-7(5), 6-3, 4-1 retd., before losing 6-4, 5-7, 6-4, 4-6, 1-6 to eventual runner-up, 12th seed Taylor Fritz.
Additionally, Tiafoe reached the semifinals at the US Open in 2022, where he defeated Marcos Giron, Jason Kubler, 14th seed Diego Schwartzman, second seed Rafael Nadal, and ninth seed Andrey Rublev before losing to the eventual champion, third seed Carlos Alcaraz.
