Actor Gaurav Khanna responded to reports that he was the Bigg Boss 19 competitor with the highest salary. The Anupamaa actor, who is well-known for playing Anuj Kapadia, dismissed the allegations with a chuckle. Here’s what he said.
Bigg Boss 19: TV actor Gaurav Khanna, who gained popularity for playing Anuj Kapadia in the popular show Anupamaa, which starred Rupali Ganguly, has joined the Bigg Boss 19 reality program as a participant. “I never judge an actor by the pay cheque he or she gets. It’s all about what you get on the table. I don’t even know who the contestants are, and we also don’t discuss money. So people can say whatever they want to say. My aim is to just do well in this season,” he added.

Gaurav also responded to allegations that he resorted to reality TV since he had less acting prospects. He had competed in the culinary reality show MasterChef India, coming out as the winner. He said that all he did was encourage people to be joyful.
“Because after this, you would see how many good roles come my way. You would be surprised yourself. To be honest, I also said no to a few shows to participate in Bigg Boss. I think that says a lot,” he shared.

Known for maintaining a modest profile, Khanna talked candidly about his decision to accept Bigg Boss 19. He clarified that it was more about performing on a reality program at a moment where no one could blame him, claiming that he was simply there to gain attention or celebrity.
He shared, “I have worked and won people’s love. I am doing pretty well in my career and will only take things forward. I also wanted to challenge myself and find the young Gaurav, who stepped into Mumbai many years ago. I want to find him through the show; I want to know if he’s still there.”
