Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra found itself in one just hours before its release. The Malayalam superhero movie, featuring Kalyani Priyadarshan and Neslan, is launching in theaters today, August 28. 2025. Meanwhile, the Telugu version, Kotha Lokah, is scheduled for release tomorrow. Fans were thrilled after seeing promotional materials that advertised an IMAX debut.
What is the Lokah Chapter 1 and IMAX controversy?
The enthusiasm shifted to confusion when Preetham Daniel, Vice President of IMAX Corporation (India), clarified on X that the film would not be shown in IMAX at any location. He stated, “Lokah is not available in IMAX but @DQsWayfarerFilm, I’m confident we will collaborate in the future to release one of your films in IMAX. I appreciate you removing your post. Wishing you the best for the film. I am looking forward to watching it too!”
