HUAWEI has once again blurred the line between technology and art with the introduction of three exclusive watch faces for the HUAWEI WATCH GT 6 Series, unveiled during the 19th Venice Architecture Biennale 2025. As the Chief Intelligence and Technology Partner for the China Pavilion, Huawei integrated its innovative devices, including the HUAWEI Mate X6 and MatePad Pro PaperMatte Editions, into the pavilion’s exhibition — celebrating the intersection of architectural heritage and intelligent design.
Art and Technology Intertwined
The collaboration between Huawei and the China Pavilion embodies the Biennale’s “CO-EXIST” theme, merging traditional cultural expressions with cutting-edge smart technology. To mark this partnership, Huawei designed three new watch faces — Dunhuang Con-stella-tion, Vault of Heaven, and City in China – Nature of All Things — each inspired by featured architectural installations. These watch faces transform wearable tech into an artistic canvas, allowing users to experience a seamless blend of Eastern aesthetics and smart living.
Dunhuang Con-stella-tion: A Tribute to Civilizational Resonance
Inspired by Atelier Alter Architects’ installation “Dunhuang Con-stella-tion,” this watch face reimagines the cultural confluence of the Silk Road. Reflecting the famed Mogao Cave 285, where Greek, Persian, Indian, and Chinese architectural elements coexist, it symbolizes a cosmic harmony between civilizations. The design envisions Dunhuang as a futuristic floating city amid nebulae — a poetic fusion of history, architecture, and imagination that embodies the concept of “civilization resonance.”

Vault of Heaven: Reinterpreting Ancient Craft
The “Vault of Heaven” watch face takes cues from the installation by Wang Zigeng, architect and founder of PILLS. Crafted from recycled green construction-site nets and bamboo weaving — an intangible cultural heritage — the design modernizes the traditional “caisson ceiling” found in ancient temples. Its dynamic animation mimics a phenakistoscope, creating a hypnotic rhythm of motion that reflects China’s timeless pursuit of harmony and a better life. The result is a digital homage to traditional craftsmanship within a modern interface.
City in China – Nature of All Things: The Future of Urban Harmony
WAY studio’s installation “City in China – Nature of All Things” envisions an ecological metropolis where nature and architecture coexist symbiotically. The corresponding watch face translates this vision into a living digital landscape — linking skyscrapers through advanced transport systems and organic growth patterns. It represents Huawei’s commitment to sustainable design and the belief that technology should adapt as naturally as life itself.
By embedding these artistic expressions into the WATCH GT 6 Series, Huawei bridges the aesthetic sophistication of the Venice Biennale with the everyday functionality of wearable tech. The result is a series of watch faces that don’t just tell time — they tell stories of art, architecture, and human creativity.
Each of the exclusive designs is now available to WATCH GT 6 users globally, expanding Huawei’s mission to blend art with intelligent living. Through this initiative, Huawei continues to redefine the intersection of cultural heritage and technological innovation, offering wearables that are as expressive as they are functional. The WATCH GT 6 Series, launched in September 2025, remains a symbol of how technology can evolve into a personal statement of taste and artistry — available now in selected markets worldwide.
