The new L.A.B. Golf OZ.1i HS heel shafted putter with Lie Angle Balance. It has the same technology as their other great putters yet with a heel shaft that some may prefer to fit their eyes. We couldn’t just mount a heel shaft to any L.A.B. Golf model and call it a day. Lie Angle Balance is more precise than that, and the geometry of the head plays a huge role. We chose the OZ.1i chassis because it was the best fit to deliver a heel-shafted putter that actually balances.
OZ.1i HS is built with the same aluminum body and fly-milled stainless steel insert as the original OZ.1i. The difference is in the proprietary aluminum riser (it’s in the heel by the way) that delivers Lie Angle Balance. The result is a putter that’s just as forgiving as the original OZ.1i but with a look that’s a lot more traditional.
Every L.A.B. putter is balanced by hand, and the new OZ.1i HS is no different. Our proprietary aluminum riser allows us to maintain Lie Angle Balance with the shaft in the heel of the putter.
The Custom version of OZ.1i HS offers our full range of industry-leading customizations. Every putter is hand-balanced and assembled, going through up to 10 stages of craftsmanship before it leaves our shop.
I have been gaming the L.A.B. Golf OZ.1i HS for about 4 weeks now, and it is just simply awesome. Every putt I seem to hit the sweet spot, and on the occasion, I mishit the putt, it still stays much more online, so misses are still within a much closer range. I can feel the putter swinging back and forth and with a slight upward stroke on the golf ball. The OZ.1i HS strikes the golf ball perfectly and I can see my line on the golf ball rolling straight end over end. I have sunk many long range putts over the past 4 weeks and attribute that to the Lie Angle Balance of the L.A.B. OZ.1i HS putter.
