Mizuno Pro T-3 wedges are new for 2025 as a forgiving option aimed at mid-to-higher handicap golfers.
One of two new wedges unveiled in January 2025 along with the T-1 model, they form part of a busy period of launches for Mizuno along with the S-3 irons, Pro S and Pro X balls and a potential new D111 Mizuno driver.
The wedges are crafted using Grain Flow Forged HD technology and 1025 pure select milled carbon steel with copper underlay, resulting in the iconic soft feel Mizuno is known for.
The T-3 wedges are more mass market than the players’ T-1 wedges, offering maximum forgiveness in your short game.
Mizuno T-3 Wedges Specs & Design
The T-3 wedge has a shallow cavity-back design is more focused on providing a balance of forgiveness and performance compared to the T-1.
The cavity-back design offers more forgiveness on full shots compared to the T-1 and a slightly longer blade length instills confidence at address.
The T-3’s cavity design redistributes weight to the perimeter of the wedge to help add extra stability and forgiveness when not finding the center of the face.
As a result, the T-3 wedges are aimed at mid-to-higher handicap golfers who need the most assistance in their short game and approach play.
Forged from 1025 Pure Select Mild Carbon Steel with a Copper Underlay, the T-3 wedges provide a soft, responsive feel through impact.
The T-3 also features more offset and a wider sole with a beveled leading edge, all of which contribute to its increased forgiveness compared to the T-1.
The Quad Cut + Grooves are part of the design of this model and help optimize spin rates and ensure consistent performance by eliminating moisture from the clubface.
The T-3 wedges are available in three sole grinds (S, M and C) to accommodate different turf conditions and lofts of 46 degrees to 60 degrees.
Originally only available in soft white satin finish, Mizuno have added the popular Black ION colorway as an option from September 2025.
Mizuno Pro T-3 Wedges Review: Are they any good?
Best suited to beginners and handicap golfers, the Mizuno Pro T-3 wedge have a shallow cavity design and a longer head length for more forgiveness and stability.
They should be the choice for all but elite and low-handicap golfers as they are a better choice compared to the T-1 model.
The new wedges have softer feel than previous version, and the control has only been enhanced in the latest release – particularly with the Quad Cut + Grooves face design.
The only downside was that the T-3 was only available in soft white satin finish compared to the trio of colorways you have in the T-1 range. But that changed with the launch of a Black ION version on sale from September 2025.
