Ohio State vs. Washington Head-to-Head Record

As mentioned, Washington’s move to the Big Ten will see them play teams they haven’t played before, but they earned their way into one of the game’s best and most prestigious conferences. Historically, the two have locked horns 12 times, and have played more games before 1985 than since. Ohio State has been dominant throughout, winning nine of the 12 encounters. The Buckeyes are also on the longest win streak that either side has had currently, winning four straight from 1995 to 2018.

Ohio State vs. Washington Prediction

Top-ranked Ohio State and its title defense will travel to Seattle to take on the Huskies, who have looked strong in their own right to begin this season. I know it is early, but this is the number one offense in the country, squaring off with the third-ranked defense in the nation, which is very exciting.

This is not to say that the Buckeye offense or Washington defense are slouches, but when a team can do something at such a high level, it is must-see TV.

For Saturday, I think many people who are counting Washington out need to evaluate whether they have seen them play or understand the high level at which Demond Williams and Jonah Coleman are playing. Then, they should know that the Buckeyes will show them the respect they deserve and game plan accordingly. But will it be enough?

I think the Huskies pull off the upset. Julian Sayin has trouble with the Huskies’ underrated defense and turns the ball over against a team that can take advantage of them like few in the country. Their two takeaways per game are tenth in the entire nation, and I think it will do the Buckeyes in, even with them fighting to the very end. This one will be a classic.

Prediction: Washington 31, Ohio State 28
