Bills Predicted To Trade for A.J. Brown After Eagles Superstar’s Slow Start to the Season

Is A.J. Brown’s uncharacteristic start to 2025 his exit ticket out of Philadelphia?

The Super Bowl champion from a season ago has opened this season with just 14 receptions for 151 yards and a single touchdown through four weeks. With an undeniable skill set, could teams vie for the Ole Miss alumni’s services?

Super Bowl Contender in the AFC Looks To Be the Perfect Landing Spot if A.J. Brown Is Dealt

Brown addressed the media earlier this week regarding his frustrations despite last week’s win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. While the receiver has not yet requested a trade or claimed to want out of Philadelphia, the rumor mill is picking up steam.

PFSN’s Josh Weil predicts which teams could potentially be in the market for Brown, one of which is a 4-0 AFC powerhouse.

The Buffalo Bills are off to yet another impressive start in 2025 as they look to get over the hump and reach the Super Bowl. Although they are firing on all cylinders, Buffalo is once again implementing a receiver-by-committee offense.

Keon Coleman has emerged as the team’s leader through the opening four weeks as he tallied 203 yards and a touchdown on 17 receptions through such time. Narrowly behind Coleman, Khalil Shakir looks to be another reliable option with two touchdowns and 190 yards on 16 catches of his own.

Throughout his career to date, Josh Allen has thrown to a handful of receivers, lacking an apparent No. 1 target (aside from Stefon Diggs during his time with Buffalo).

Eric D. Williams of Fox Sports believes a select group of teams will be especially active come November’s trade deadline, Buffalo included.

“League sources I spoke with pointed to the Jacksonville Jaguars, San Francisco 49ers, Los Angeles Rams, Buffalo Bills, Seattle Seahawks, New England Patriots, and Philadelphia Eagles as possible teams who will be active at November’s trade deadline,” said Williams.

With Brown quietly approaching a potential market, is this the time Bills general manager Brandon Beane makes a move?

Bills’ Recent Playoff Woes Due to Missing Piece at WR?

Losing in the AFC Championship three years in a row, including the divisional round, and suffering two Wild Card losses in the three years prior, the Bills are on the cusp of a championship.

Over the years, their defense has proven to be stout, accompanied by Allen’s tightly run offense. Now, James Cook provides yet another dimension to the multi-layered option scheme. So much so that Cook’s start to 2025 was awarded with honors as the AFC’s offensive player of the month in September.

With playmakers all over the field, the addition of a player like Brown could make the Bills unstoppable. Well, Buffalo may already be unstoppable.

To open the season, the Bills sit atop PFSN’s Offense Impact metric with a 95.9 impact score, giving them an A grade. The only team with an A grade in 2025, the Bills sit behind the Detroit Lions for points scored in the entire NFL.

As an already elite offense looks to build even more potential, the Bills’ next obstacle is their divisional rival, the New England Patriots. Head coach Sean McDermott and the Bills meet Mike Vrabel and the Pats in primetime on Sunday Night Football from Orchard Park.
