What Did Patrick Mouratoglou Say About Sinner and Alcaraz’s Mental Strength and Game?
Mouratoglou shared his admiration for both players in a video posted to Instagram, saying, “Alcaraz just won Tokyo, Sinner just won Beijing. Both won an ATP 500. Another trophy this year, the quality is still insane,” he said.
Mouratoglou emphasized the mental strength of the duo, noting, “And the level of confidence of those two guys is unbelievable. Deep inside there is a voice telling them, ‘I’m gonna find a way to win.’ Even when Sinner lost a set to [Alex] de Minaur, you could feel that he knew deep inside him he would find a way to win. And even though de Minaur played an incredible match, he made him crack at the end.”
The coach praised Alcaraz as a “genius of the game,” highlighting the Spaniard’s versatility and clutch performance in the final against Fritz. “He has everything. He can do anything on the tennis court, he won this final against Fritz in the last game when he felt the tension just threw three unbelievable drop shots.”
“I see there in the level of confidence when it comes to the big moments. They raise their level where everybody drops the level. I don’t know if they’re gonna play every single tournament before the end of this year, but if they play, they will win.”
