The charming young man she met earlier charmed not only her but everyone around the globe with his warmth. The Jaguars’ rookie was quick to embrace her in front of thousands on the field in a full-circle moment.
The Jaguars’ official X account even posted a video of them reuniting. Before the story behind the encounter was revealed, fans were already moved by the images and videos circulating online of Hunter embracing a familiar face near the Jaguars’ sideline.
The moment quickly became one of the most talked-about events of Week 5.

The official post by the Jaguars’ X account also detailed how Sandy and Travis first met six months ago. The rookie and Sandy had unknowingly met on a separate flight in May earlier this year, just a few days after Hunter was drafted as the second overall pick in the NFL.
At the time, Sandy was unaware that her co-passenger on the Denver to Jacksonville flight would be Hunter, an NFL rising star. He spoke to her with genuine respect. She even recalled calling him a “polite young man” offering to lift her bag.
“I had the most wonderful flight home from Denver. I met the nicest young man who sat next to me. He offered to put my bag in the overhead compartment and helped me with my tray. He was always polite, saying ‘yes ma’am’ or ‘no ma’am,’ ” Sandy wrote.
“Anyone would be proud to have him as a son or grandson-so polite,” she continued. “People walking by were saying congratulations, great job, or even taking pictures. I turned and asked him, ‘Who am I sitting next to?’
“I looked at his Jaguar pants, smiled, and asked, ‘Are you an athlete?’ ” Combs wrote. “He smiled and said, ‘I’m Travis. Yes, I was drafted by the Jags.’ I already told my sons I want his jersey. He’s so humble and down-to-earth. I would have never guessed he was a professional athlete.”
She concluded, “JACKSONVILLE JAGS, you did good! I will be buying tickets. United Airlines, thank you for my seat assignment!”
