The college football season is a conduit for energy and chaos, always supplying fans with euphoric and memorable moments on Saturdays (and sometimes weekdays as well). This starts with high-flying offenses putting up points and showcasing absurd athleticism, speed, and schemes every weekend.
A quick shoutout belongs to the Ole Miss Rebels, who didn’t quite make our top 10, but were absolutely balling out against the Georgia Bulldogs in a hard-fought loss. Using PFSN’s Offensive Impact rankings, here were the top 10 offenses of Week 8.
10) Arkansas Razorbacks
Week 8 PFSN College Offi Grade: 84.6 (B)
Arkansas ranks fourth this year on offense, with a season-long grade of 92.0 (A-). Even in the blowout loss to Notre Dame, the offense still looked capable despite the turnovers and time of possession that held them to just 13 points. The Razorbacks have had four of seven games this season with a top-12 offensive impact performance.
9) UAB Blazers
Week 8 PFSN College Offi Grade: 84.8 (B)
The UAB Blazers did the unthinkable and knocked off a ranked and undefeated Memphis Tigers team this week due to an impressive offensive performance. According to TruMedia, the Blazers put up 470 total yards of offense on Memphis, the second-highest behind Arkansas in 2025.
This also ranks second for the Blazers this season, right behind their 520-yard performance against Alabama State earlier this year. Despite ranking 55th on offense for the season, the Blazers are putting up a respectable 29.7 points per game.
8) Coastal Carolina Chanticleers
Week 8 PFSN College Offi Grade: 85.0 (B)
The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers have struggled offensively this season, failing to post above a 74 in any of their games before Week 8. Yet, here they are with the eighth-best offensive performance of the week against Appalachian State in a much-needed turnaround for the offense. Their 45 points more than doubled their average points per game (19) for the season.
7) Arizona Wildcats
Week 8 PFSN College Offi Grade: 85.4 (B)
When you think about the top Big 12 offenses, the Arizona Wildcats might not be the first team that comes to mind. Despite Noah Fifita’s emergence as a stud in 2023, throwing to Tetairoa McMillian and ranking 12th in our Offensive Impact rankings, the last two seasons have been very disappointing for the Wildcats.
Much of their middling play from this season has been their inability to finish in the red zone. They rank 114th with a 51.6% redzone efficiency. Fifita went an absurd 24-of-26 for 269 yards, two touchdowns, and zero turnovers in the three-point loss to Houston. Their red-zone offense was also much better, scoring 22 of their 28 from inside the 20.
6) Cincinnati Bearcats
Week 8 PFSN College Offi Grade: 85.9 (B)
Cincinnati benefited from playing a weak Oklahoma State defense to help bolster its grade this week. Despite that, the Bearcats still rank 21st on the season with an impressive 85.3 season grade. They now have three top-six offensive rankings and a 20th-ranked week, too.

At 6-1, Cincinnati ranks seventh in points per drive (3.53), third in yards per play (7.7), and 15th in points per game (37.9). If anything is going to hold back this offense from greatness, it’s the defense.
5) Oregon Ducks
Week 8 PFSN College Offi Grade: 86.1 (B)
The Oregon Ducks came out angry after a tough loss to the Indiana Hoosiers, and it showed. In its dominating win over Rutgers, Oregon was the only team to rank in the top five (or 10, for that matter) of our offensive and defensive rankings for the week.
While there won’t be much to take away from this game on film because of the lack of competition, it is nice to see Oregon come out on fire after a loss. I seem to remember a team they beat absolutely falling apart in a similar situation.
4) Houston Cougars
Week 8 PFSN College Offi Grade: 86.8 (B)
While Georgia and Ole Miss stole the show, Houston and Arizona actually combined for a higher overall grade offensively. The Cougars and Wildcats averaged an 86.2 Offensive Impact score while the Rebels and Bulldogs averaged 85.8. The 31-28 win over Arizona marks the first time Houston has ranked inside the top 20, 10, and five in our weekly offensive rankings.
3) Ohio Bobcats
Week 8 PFSN College Offi Grade: 87.4 (B+)
The Ohio Bobcats’ offense matched the Ohio State defense in performance this week. In the 48-21 win over Northern Illinois, Timothee Chalamet’s favorite quarterback (Parker Navarro) didn’t throw a single touchdown, but the offense still dominated.
This was because of a rushing attack that averaged 6.7 yards per carry and totaled 335 rushing yards and six touchdowns. The Bobcats are the only FBS team in the nation to have multiple six (or more) rushing touchdown performances this season, as they did this against Gardner-Webb earlier in the season.
2) James Madison Dukes
Week 8 PFSN College Offi Grade: 87.5 (B+)
James Madison is typically carried by its defense, but both sides of the ball came to play in Week 8. As the season goes on, it looks like the Dukes are in a class of their own atop the Sun Belt. With a 63-27 win over Old Dominion, James Madison got to show its former coach, Curt Cignetti, how it’s done by scoring 36 more points on the Monarchs than the Hoosiers did in their win.
The Dukes scored more points on Old Dominion than anyone since Western Kentucky hung 66 on them in Week 9 of the 2014 season. If this is truly a turning point for Alonza Barnett III and this offense, James Madison could go dancing.
1) Georgia Bulldogs
Week 8 PFSN College Offi Grade: 88.2 (B+)
Our top offense of the week should come as a surprise to no one. The Bulldogs were able to come back and hang on to a sweet victory over the Rebels in a very high-scoring and fun game to watch.
At this point, I think pretty much everyone has heard that Georgia didn’t punt at all in this game and scored on every drive that wasn’t a kneel. But the most insane stat to me is that they gained 90% of all available yards. That kind of dominance on offense is why everyone should be on the lookout for Georgia to go deep.
Kirby Smart’s defenses get better as the season goes on, which means a balanced monster on the way.
