A star-studded field will assemble in Riyadh as the 2025 WTA Finals returns for its latest edition. This event will bring the curtain down on a demanding season and provide a final proving ground for the eight most consistent performers on tour.
The anticipation surrounding the event has steadily grown since the players secured their berths, with tennis enthusiasts eager to see which contender will rise to the occasion in one of the calendar’s premier tournaments.
WTA Officially Announces the WTA Finals 2025 Draw
The 2025 WTA Finals will take place from November 1 to November 8 at the King Saud University Indoor Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, marking the second consecutive year the tournament is hosted in the kingdom. This prestigious event features the eight highest-ranked singles players from the 2025 WTA Tour season competing on indoor hard courts for one of the most significant trophies in women’s tennis.
The qualified players include World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka from Belarus, 2025 Wimbledon champion Iga Świątek from Poland, defending champion and 2025 Roland Garros winner Coco Gauff, Amanda Anisimova, Jessica Pegula, Madison Keys from the United States, Elena Rybakina from Kazakhstan, and Jasmine Paolini from Italy.
Four American players will participate in this year’s tournament, representing the largest U.S. contingent in over two decades.
The official draw places the competitors into two groups named after tennis legends. The Steffi Graf Group includes Sabalenka, Gauff, Pegula, and Paolini, while the Serena Williams Group features Świątek, Anisimova, Rybakina, and Keys.
During round-robin play, each player will face the three other participants in their respective group, and the top two finishers from each group will advance to the semifinals. The winner of the Steffi Graf Group will face the runner-up from the Serena Williams Group in the semifinals, and vice versa, before the championship match determines the tournament winner.

A semifinal win adds $1,270,000 to a player’s earnings, while the champion receives an additional $2,500,000. An undefeated champion who wins all five matches throughout the tournament will earn $5,155,000, combining the participation fee, round-robin wins, semifinal victory, and championship title.
