Week 10 of the NFL season saw some teams pull off huge wins to help their playoff chances, while other squads suffered upset losses that will significantly impact their postseason hopes.

NFL Teams on the Rise
With big wins on Sunday, the Chicago Bears and Houston Texans dramatically improved their chances to reach the NFL playoffs. Chicago defeated the New York Giants 24-20 in the snow at Soldier Field, while backup quarterback Davis Mills engineered a fourth-quarter rally as the Texans defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars 36-29 at NRG Stadium in Houston.
According to data provided by the PFSN NFL Playoff Predictor, the Bears now have a 13.7% chance of making the playoffs and a 4.9% chance of winning their division. For the Texans, they have a 12.7% chance of making the playoffs and a 2.5% chance of winning their division.
NFL Teams on the Decline
Sunday was not a good day for the Jacksonville Jaguars and Minnesota Vikings, who lost to the Texans and Baltimore Ravens, respectively.
The Jaguars held a lead over Houston going into the fourth quarter, but lost and quarterback Trevor Lawrence ended up throwing a Pick 6 on the game’s final play. Minnesota, playing at home no less, wasn’t able to get past Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson and star running back Derrick Henry.
According to data provided by the PFSN NFL Playoff Predictor, the Jaguars now have -15.9% chance of making the playoffs and a -7.5% chance of winning their division. As for the Vikings, it’s worse. Minnesota now has a -17% chance of making the playoffs and a -10.3% chance of winning its division.
