Rivalry week brings out some of the most dramatic and entertaining games in college football, and that trend should continue this year. Georgia Tech took Georgia to the wire last year, and the Yellow Jackets are ready to do it again.
Brent Key’s squad remembers how close they came last year, and that’s enough motivation to help them lock in for this one. Our Georgia vs. Georgia Tech prediction features the PFSN grades that could define the outcome, a detailed breakdown, historical head-to-head records, and a final score projection for this must-watch matchup.

Georgia vs. Georgia Tech Head-to-Head Record
This hasn’t exactly been a competitive matchup overall. Georgia leads the series 72-41-5, has won 19 of the last 22 matchups, and holds a seven-game winning streak. That being said, Georgia Tech gave the Bulldogs a run for their money.
Last year, Georgia Tech offensive coordinator Buster Faulkner had Kirby Smart scrambling for answers. The Yellow Jackets put up 563 yards of total offense but ultimately came up just short in overtime. They were 7-5 last year, but this year’s team is more confident and successful. Will that be enough for an upset?

Georgia vs. Georgia Tech Prediction
Haynes King continues to carry the Yellow Jackets this year, and he’s a huge reason they’re sitting at 9-2. He’s carried a heavy workload, put his body on the line, and become one of the most beloved players in the country.
Faulkner has done a great job of dressing up the offense to keep defenses guessing, and it’s taken a lot of pressure off King. Teams know that he’s a huge part of the offensive production, but there’s a reason why the Yellow Jackets have been so successful this year. It’s on Smart and defensive coordinator Glenn Schumann to stop them.

Georgia hasn’t been the team of old, but this year’s squad has battled through adversity all season. Even though they don’t have as much experience, this group has given their staff the effort needed to keep them in every game. It all starts with their quarterback.
Gunner Stockton and offensive coordinator Mike Bobo stumbled out of the gate, but both found their rhythm in the second half of the season. Stockton is playing within his means, which has given the offense newfound life. If the defense stifles King, the Bulldogs should run away with this one.
Prediction: Georgia 42, Georgia Tech 21
