Week 15 of the 2025 NFL season is in the books. As some of the league’s leaders started to clinch playoff berths, more teams were eliminated from playoff contention, pushing their focus to the 2026 NFL Draft.
One team that hasn’t been in this position in quite some time is the Kansas City Chiefs. The Week 15 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers eliminated the Chiefs from playoff contention for the first time in the Patrick Mahomes era. With 12 teams officially jostling for draft position, here’s a look at the 2026 NFL Draft order after the Week 15 action.

Which Team Has the Best Chance To Land the Top Pick?
PFSN’s Playoff Predictor isn’t just a one-stop destination for everything related to the NFL’s playoff bracket. It also serves as an accurate indicator of how things will shape out for the rest of the NFL as the season progresses.
Heading into Week 15, eight teams had a 1% chance or higher of securing the first overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. The Washington Commanders had a 6.5% chance of grabbing the No. 1 pick after a tough season affected by injuries. However, backup quarterback Marcus Mariota dispatched the Giants, strengthening New York’s chances while dropping their own to a 0.1% chance.

Another team that had a solid chance, the New Orleans Saints, saw its chances to select first overall go up in flames after back-to-back divisional wins against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Carolina Panthers in Weeks 14 and 15, respectively. While playing spoiler against divisional rivals can be thrilling, every win is devastating to their overall draft pick.

The only team that lost but saw their chances drop to practically zero was the Arizona Cardinals. Coming into Week 15, Arizona had a 1.3% chance of clinching the No. 1 overall pick. Despite a 40-20 loss, the Cardinals still have toss-ups against the Atlanta Falcons and Cincinnati Bengals left on the schedule. While they still have a 0.5% chance, PFSN Analytics clearly suggests they will win one of their final three matchups.
This brings us to the top five. The New York Jets have lost four of their last five games and still have matchups against the New England Patriots and Buffalo Bills remaining on their schedule. However, they face off against the Saints in Week 16. If New Orleans continues to give the effort they have had the last three weeks, that’s a surefire loss. However, with Tyler Shough under center, anything is possible.
The Cleveland Browns and Tennessee Titans come next. The Browns have lost their last three, but with games against the Pittsburgh Steelers and Bengals left on the schedule, who’s to say a stout defense and rookie quarterback with plenty left to prove in Shedeur Sanders couldn’t luck into a win? As for the Titans, matchups against the Kansas City Chiefs without Patrick Mahomes and the Saints could be coin flips.
The Las Vegas Raiders and New York Giants remain the top contenders to draft first in 2026, with their Week 17 matchup likely determining who kicks off the event in April. The Raiders travel to take on the Houston Texans in Week 16, while their matchup against the Chiefs in Week 18 is now a toss-up. Meanwhile, the Giants finish the year with games against the Minnesota Vikings and Dallas Cowboys.
Here are the teams with the best odds of landing the No. 1 pick, while factoring in their record, remaining strength of schedule, and metrics:
- New York Giants, 35.3%
2) Las Vegas Raiders, 32.5%
3) Tennessee Titans, 15%
4) Cleveland Browns, 11.2%
5) New York Jets, 5.1%
