Top 10 Men, Women; Puskas Award Winner and More Revealed

Amid much fanfare, The Best FIFA Awards ceremony wrapped up at the Fairmont Katara Hall in Doha, Qatar, on Tuesday, December 16. The 10th edition of the ceremony was staged at a private dinner on the eve of the 2025 FIFA Intercontinental Cup final in Doha.

But what are the award categories, and who were the big winners of the evening?

Best FIFA Awards Dominated by European Stars

France and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) superstar Ousmane Dembélé won the 2025 The Best Men’s Player award, while Spain and Barcelona icon Aitana Bonmati won the 2025 The Best Women’s Player accolade. PSG’s Luis Enrique and England’s Sarina Wiegman lifted the Best Men’s Coach award and the Best Women’s Coach award, respectively, as per fifa.com.

Dembele, a former Barcelona attacker, fought off tough competition from the likes of Lamine Yamal, Kylian Mbappé, Mohamed Salah, Harry Kane, and Raphinha. He helped PSG win four trophies last season, including a much-coveted European treble.

On the other hand, Italy and Manchester City ace Gianluigi Donnarumma won the 2025 The Best Men’s Goalkeeper award for playing a part in PSG’s treble past campaign. England and Chelsea star Hannah Hampton notched the Best Women’s Goalkeeper honor.

Lastly, Argentina and Independiente star Santiago Montiel won the 2025 FIFA Puskas Award for his overhead kick against Independiente Rivadavia earlier this May. Mexico and Orlando Pride ace Lizbeth Ovalle bagged the 2025 FIFA Marta Award for her scorpion kick for Tigres against Guadalajara.
