It is no wonder that Roman Reigns has maintained his hairstyle throughout his run, especially in The Tribal Chief era. His constant high bun has influenced many to get that haircut and imitate The Head of the Table. However, a recent rumbling on NXT has actually made one superstar replicate that style and stand out as a Reigns’ doppelganger. The name is none other than the amateur wrestler and No Quarter Catch Crew’s Tavion Heights.
Heights has been known to the NXT audience for a long time, but gained some main roster attention with his hairstyle. His afro look was cut down to a man bun-type hairstyle, which resembles Reigns’ look. Now that people have seen him, let’s get to know him.
Who is Tavion Heights?
Tracy G’Angelo Hancock, known to WWE as Tavion Heights, could be the more modern Chad Gable or even Kurt Angle, considering his talent and accomplishments. A Greco-Roman discipline emphasized his love for wrestling and athletic prowess. Born on July 27, 1997, in Fountain, Colorado, the 27-year-old amateur is a beast for the coming years.
Charlie Dempsey might not want the match…

Standing at 6’1” and weighing approximately 213–260 lbs, he combines power, speed, and agility, attributes that made him a standout in amateur competition and later in professional wrestling. His nickname, “The Olympic Kidd,” reflects his Olympic pedigree and youthful energy in the ring.
Tavion Heights’ Amateur Wrestling Career

- 2018: Eliminated in the first round of the 97 kg event at the World Wrestling Championships in Budapest, Hungary.

Tavion Heights’ Professional Wrestling Journey So Far
In August 2022, Hancock signed a developmental contract with WWE, transitioning to professional wrestling under the ring name Tavion Heights. His televised debut came on December 1, 2022, on NXT Level Up, losing to Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo. Heights’ early performances showcased his athleticism, particularly his Greco-Roman-inspired offense, but he remained a developmental talent with limited TV exposure.
NXT Breakout Tournament and Growth (2023–2024)
In December 2023, Heights gained significant visibility by competing in the NXT Men’s Breakout Tournament. He defeated Luca Crusifino in the first round but lost to eventual winner Oba Femi in the semifinals. His performance earned praise for its intensity and showcased his potential as a future star.
No Quarter Catch Crew and Heel Turn (June 2024)
A pivotal moment came on June 25, 2024, when Heights defeated Damon Kemp on NXT TV in an initiation match to join the No Quarter Catch Crew (NQCC), a heel stable led by Charlie Dempsey and including Myles Borne and Wren Sinclair. His integration into NQCC elevated his status, giving him a defined character and storyline.
Excursions to TNA and Pro Wrestling NOAH (2024)
- Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA): On July 11, 2024, Heights debuted on TNA Impact, celebrating Charlie Dempsey’s victory. He competed at TNA’s Slammiversary on July 20, teaming with Dempsey and Borne against The Rascalz (Zachary Wentz, Trey Miguel, and Wes Lee) in a losing effort. On July 18, he teamed with NQCC to defeat KUSHIDA and The Rascalz, marking a win in TNA.
- Pro Wrestling NOAH: In July 2024, Heights was selected as one of two NXT representatives (alongside Josh Briggs) for NOAH’s N-1 Victory tournament. Competing in the B-block, he earned 8 points, including a stunning upset victory over former GHC Heavyweight Champion Kenoh, but did not advance to the finals.
In late 2024, Heights and Myles Borne won a battle royal to earn an NXT Tag Team Championship match against Fraxiom at NXT Deadline but came up short. Heights also competed for the Heritage Cup, challenging Tony D’Angelo on July 30, 2024, and assisting Charlie Dempsey in retaining it on September 10, 2024.
On May 27, 2025, Heights faced Mike Santana in a highly competitive match on NXT TV, losing but earning respect with a post-match handshake. The bout was praised for its intensity, though some questioned the decision to pit Santana, a debuting veteran, against a relatively unpushed Heights.
Height could have a classic WWE developmental success story in his veins because of his amateur wrestling background. However, to reach the main roster, Heights must refine his character work and capitalize on storyline opportunities, such as the potential NQCC departure angle.
