In a recent segment, analyst Hailey Sutton noted, “They threw everything at Bryce Underwood to get him to flip from LSU to Michigan. When you’ve got $10 million floating around, there’s going to be a lot of pressure on you as the starter.”
That pressure has led some to question if Underwood may be overhyped or simply facing expectations that are nearly impossible to meet as a true freshman.
Moore is well aware of the situation surrounding his prized recruit. Entering his second season at the helm, Moore is expected to take a measured approach with Underwood, potentially easing him into the starting role. The Wolverines signed veteran quarterback Mikey Keene, a multi-year starter at UCF and Fresno State, giving Michigan a reliable option to split reps early in the season.
