Washington 2025 Citi Open kicks off the hard-court season with big names and bold prizes with Shelton, Paul, Tiafoe, Venus Williams the players to watch

The Mubadala Citi DC Open in Washington, D.C. marks the start of the North American summer hard-court swing. This combined ATP and WTA 500-level event runs from July 21 to July 27, 2025, hosted at the Rock Creek Park venue. The singles draw features 28 players, while the doubles draw includes 16 teams. Qualifying rounds take place on July 19 and 20. The singles final is scheduled for Sunday, July 27, and the doubles final on Saturday, July 26.

Prize money and ranking points breakdown

Over $2.3 million in prize money is up for grabs. The WTA singles champion will earn $197,570 and 500 ranking points, while the ATP singles winner will take home $420,525 and 500 points. Points and payouts decrease progressively through each round.

Star-studded player lineup

The women’s field includes Jessica Pegula, Venus Williams, Naomi Osaka, Emma Raducanu, and Elena Rybakina. On the men’s side, American favorites Taylor Fritz, Ben Shelton, and Frances Tiafoe are joined by Daniil Medvedev, Holger Rune, and Andrey Rublev. Venus Williams returns to action after a 16-month break.

Broadcast and viewing options

Tennis Channel will air WTA matches in the United States, while Discovery India covers ATP events. TennisTV offers international streaming, with match highlights and updates across social media.
