Carlos Alcaraz, known for his explosive tennis and infectious energy, recently added a splash of humor to the music-meets-sport crossover moment that’s been making waves. After Jannik Sinner surprised fans by collaborating with legendary tenor Andrea Bocelli on a song titled Polvere e Gloria, Alcaraz couldn’t resist chiming in with a cheeky remark.
The Spanish star, fresh off a win at the HSBC Championship, was asked in a post-match interview whether he had listened to Sinner’s new release. With a grin, Alcaraz admitted he hadn’t heard the full track but had seen clips of it. Then came the punchline—when asked if he’d consider a musical venture of his own, he quipped, “Which singer do you want me to sign with?” before joking that his own performances are mostly reserved for the shower.
Alcaraz said: “I didn’t hear the complete song, but I saw that he released something. Which singer do you want me to sign with?
But when pressed about a future musical collaboration, the Spaniard offered a candid and very relatable truth. “I think I’m not ready yet. Let’s see in a couple of years. Nah, I mean, I just sing when I am taking a shower, so I am not ready to release any song.”
The light-hearted moment added a playful twist to what has otherwise been a deeply emotional and artistic project for Sinner. His collaboration with Bocelli blends spoken word and operatic vocals, reflecting on life’s challenges and triumphs. While Sinner’s voice now echoes through recording studios, Alcaraz’s remains safely within the tiled acoustics of his bathroom—for now.
