In a lighthearted twist ahead of the 2025 Wimbledon Championships, tennis stars Coco Gauff and Aryna Sabalenka surprised fans by breaking into a quirky and amusing dance routine on Centre Court. The moment, captured and shared on TikTok and Instagram, featured the duo grooving to the 1990 hit “Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now)” by C C Music Factory, showcasing a side of their personalities rarely seen during high-stakes competition.
The dance came just weeks after their intense showdown in the French Open final, where Gauff triumphed in a three-set battle. Despite some post-match tension, the Wimbledon video signaled a fresh start. Gauff captioned her post with, “the olive branch was extended and accepted! we’re good so you guys should be too,” while Sabalenka noted, “TikTok dances always had a way of bringing people together”.
Both players, currently ranked No. 1 and No. 2 in the world, also practiced together on Centre Court, further suggesting that any lingering friction had been smoothed over. Their synchronized moves and playful lip-syncing to a trending audio clip—“OK, guys, we’re back. Did you miss us? ’Cause we missed you”—quickly went viral, drawing praise from fans for their camaraderie and sense of humor.
As Wimbledon kicks off, the duo’s unexpected dance has added a dose of levity to the tournament’s opening days. Whether they meet again on the court remains to be seen, but for now, their off-court chemistry is stealing the spotlight.
