In this article, we take a look at how far fans of every 2025/26 Championship club must travel from shortest to longest distance (miles).
Now that the new set of top flight fixtures are out, there will be thousands of diehard football fans who follow their team all over the country planning for the new campaign ahead.
The likes of Birmingham City, Wrexham and Charlton Athletic were promoted, replacing Luton Town, Plymouth Argyle, Cardiff City, while, relegated sides Leicester City, Ipswich Town and Southampton, replace promoted Leeds United, Burnley and Sunderland, meaning for those who do the hard miles to watch away from home, there are certainly going to be a number of long trips on the horizon.
TheStatsZone state that “the distances have been determined by using the shortest route by road on Google Maps at the time of writing. The mileage shown is for the round-trip from a team’s home stadium to the opponent’s home stadium, and back again, for all away games in the league campaign. This is strictly a ‘by road’ analysis, other means of transport (e.g. train) are not considered.”
So we have taken a look at how far fans of every Championship club must travel according to TheStatsZone and ranked from shortest to longest distance travelled.
