Here’s how fans reacted as police launch an investigation after an incident in the stands of Tottenham’s win at Reading…

@stiggyt19: Was a bit weird all game, I was in the reading end, lots of spurs fans around me…. it was just kids throwing bottles at each other and goading… childish and pathetic for a pre season game

@waztap: It’s mad as there was plenty of Spurs fans in the reading stands and absolutely no trouble

@waynetheyido: It’s a friendly ffs 🤦‍♂️

@emilycoys: We were amongst lots of Spurs and Reading fans in the home stands and it was very harmonious. Lovely day out.

@Philipbutcher1: I was @ Saturdays game there were plenty of Empty Seats in the South Stand away end. So why did idiot Spurs Fans get tickets in the Home Stands. Mindless Idiots Springs to mind.

@botters_jotters: away tickets were limited to ST holders only, didn’t go on member sale or general sale

@Philipbutcher1: Spurs must have atleast Double the Season Ticket Holders that Reading have so all there lot should have been sold. I wouldn’t go and buy a ticket in an opponent teams home stands if i couldn’t get one in the away end on Principal. Again Mindless Idiots! Im assuming the same happened as what happened in the North Stand a man was wearing a Reading top but when spurs scored he took his top off and underneath was a Spurs top. I would say the same happened near the score board a man pretending to be a Reading Fan.

@botters_jotters: fans who aren’t season ticket holders wanted to see the game, simple as that. It was a friendly between two teams with no bad blood, get over it.

@Philipbutcher1: Actually you are wrong there was something going on between the Spurs & Reading Fans in the second half. Stewards had to intervene.
