Fans say Scunthorpe United have ‘set the precedent’ with yet another superbly done kit reveal ahead of the 2025/26 season.
The National League new boys have revealed their new home strip, with the claret shirt features a vertical chain pattern symbolising the town’s steelworking heritage, sky blue sleeves, and claret detailing.
To show off the new shirt, a brilliant video created by and featuring the likes of Pete Hewes, Aaron Cheeseman, Sham 69, Kevin Clifton, along with school children, supporters and local organisations.
Now this is how it’s done. And hopefully many other clubs will take note for future releases. The video has gone on to get hundreds of thousands of views across social media, take a look at it below…

CLUB STATEMENT:
Scunthorpe United Football Club is delighted to launch our brand-new 2025-26 home kit, which is now available to pre-order from today!
Designed in partnership with our brand new official kit supplier, MEYBA, the 2025-26 shirt features a striking and symbolic design that pays powerful tribute to the town’s industrial heritage and the unwavering strength of the Iron faithful.
At the heart of the design is a bold vertical chain pattern running down the front of the claret shirt – a proud nod to Scunthorpe’s steelworking past and the club’s nickname and strength in unity. Contrasting sky blue sleeves are complemented by claret and blue detailing across the shoulders, while a clean round collar and deep claret cuffs complete the look. Contrasting sky blue raglan sleeves are complemented by Meyba’s trademark detailing on the shoulders in the Iron’s claret and blue, while a clean round collar and deep claret cuffs complete the look.
The Iron’s traditional crest is proudly pressed over the heart, with HITEK Electronic Materials Ltd continuing as front-of-shirt sponsor, as announced last week, in bold white print. Meanwhile, Mortz continues as our left sleeve sponsor as announced earlier today, while we welcome Marjara Care Group as our brand new back of shirt sponsors.
Supporters can pre-order the home shirt now via the club’s official online store, www.sufcshop.com, with orders dispatched ahead of the new season commencing.
We will have details and a separate launch for our away and third kits for the forthcoming season in due course.
Head down to Skegness Town tomorrow evening where you will see our brand new home kit debuted for the very first time (7pm kick-off).
It will be possible, in the pre-order stage, for supporters to visit the Attis Arena Club Shop to try these replicas on and ascertain their size in our brand new kit, ahead of shirts being dispatched to fans ahead of the new season.
Scunthorpe United would like to thank the exceptional work of Pete Hewes of Know Film and Aaron Cheeseman for their fantastic contributions in producing our 2025-26 home kit launch. We’d also like to thank Sham 69 for kind permission to use their track “If the kids are United”, Kevin Clifton for his time to contribute to the production, Bottesford Infant School, Sir John Nelthorpe School, Asda Scunthorpe, Sinful Ink, Black and White Coaches and the Honest Lawyer for the use of their facilities to execute the various shots. Our final thanks go to the supporters who also played their part in the kit launch.
@hewes_pete: We had an absolute blast putting this together. We wanted to create something that was essentially Scunthorpe and involved the whole community. Let’s go!!
As mentioned, fans say Scunthorpe have ‘set the precedent’ with a superbly done kit reveal ahead of the 2025/26 season…
@philpinder77: Amazing video well done @hewes_pete and @ched53 👏 Don’t get the moaning, new design every year 🤷 just buy it and support the club, will be in short supply if this is the year we get back to the @EFL #Believe #UTI
@cmacd57: There are Premier League clubs that don’t have the ability to produce content of this level. Excellent video with some very good in-jokes (the squirrel is superb 😂).
@willyepp: This video is genuinely a brilliantly produced video.
@ChrisGreen3397: The kit release videos and generally all the video and photo content out of the club is absolutely outstanding. Not sure I can get behind the main sponsor being off centre in accordance to the chains on the shirt however🫠
@KadynSUFC: That video is nothing short of sensational, massive props to @SUFCOfficial and all involved behind the scenes! 👏🏻👏🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 #UTI #IRON
@TheScunnyLad: The video as expected is absolutely brilliant. A masterpiece. The shirt, a shame. Even more so when some previous decent efforts are in there. Away away ole ole
@meresideposh72: Impressive kit release video from Scunny to be fair 👏🏻
@jakesufc_: unreal announcement video for this kit it’s stunning aswell i must say. bonus credit for the @SUFCOfficial admin/s for the just as good announcement video for the signings throughout the summer so far 🤣❤️
@oli_woolley03: And it really does go without saying but this is another absolute cracker of an announcement video! They’ve really set the precedent for these kit reveals with last year’s masterpieces plus this beauty!
@ched53: Always a pleasure to do things for this club. Thank you to all those behind the scenes for their hard work making this years video possible @SUFCOfficial #UTI
@F_SWFC: One of the best kit reveals I’ve seen that, puts into perspective how utterly shite ours always are #swfc

@RyanJOates: What a superb launch video @SUFCOfficial 🙌🏻 Proud to play a little part in this with Frankie, despite losing my beer! 😂
@prescott1962: That’s a top quality video 👍👍
@loonylincslloyd: Another quality launch video. I didn’t like the shirt when I first saw it. But looks a lot better on. Think it’s a grower.
@jamesiron95: 💪 Let’s go! Contrary to popular belief, I am not now banned from Asda! 🤣🤣 #UTI #IRON
@sufc_mike: Superb filmmaking yet again, well done @hewes_pete, @ched53 and everyone else involved 👏 👏 👏
@rreczulski: Alan Knill will love this especially the squirell, clever parts & various local areas in the town & bus route near the ground even the train! Someone really thought this out!
@hewes_pete: Thanks Robert, 100s of hours went into this through planning, begging for locations, shooting and editing. Just glad fans love it
@rreczulski: Brilliant, well done, worth the effort, the board must be chuffed with the outcome.
@hewes_pete: Hope so but more importantly the majority of the fan base are. Myself and Aaron both have creative businesses locally and we’re both Scunny fans these launches are our way of giving back and having a bit of creative freedom.
@rreczulski: You should be making ads on tv, so many are absolute trash & childish now, it’s criminal & insults the viewers!
@juanyenks: Absolutely brilliant video, particularly enjoyed the references to 4 or 5 at the back and the squirrels! Sadly the shirt lets it down.
@BrynGosling: That kit release video is absolutely fantastic, represents our community and what the club is about ❤️ Well done to everyone involved 👏👏
