The National League outright title winner, promotion, top seven odds have been revealed for the 2025/26 season now that fixtures are out.
Preparations for the division’s 24 teams are in full swing, just a few more pre-season friendlies to play out, new shirts being revealed and fresh signings being brought in.
Carlisle United and Morecambe drop into non league having been relegated from League Two, while they will also face National League North promoted sides Brackley Town and Scunthorpe United as well as National League South champions Truro City and playoff winners Boreham Wood.
The 2025/26 National League season, known as the Enterprise National League for sponsorship reasons, will be the first season under the division’s new sponsored title, having previously been Vanarama, and before that, Skrill, Blue Square Bet, Nationwide, GM Vauxhall and Gola, the 11th under the title of the National League, 22nd season consisting of three divisions, and the 46th season overall.
The 2022/23 season saw the expansion of North and South divisions to 24 teams apiece, a planned increase which was originally scheduled in 2019. However, after the curtailment and voidance of the 2020–21 season for both North and South, promotion and relegation were postponed. For those reasons, the implementation of expansion plans was delayed until 2022–23.
The 2017/18 season was the first season to include six teams in the play-offs for each division, with the 4th-7th placed teams participating in the qualifying round and the 2nd and 3rd placed teams qualifying for the semi-finals.
Right then, time to take a look at the National League outright title winner, promotion, top seven odds, now that it’s revealed for the 2025/26 season…

@HeedQuarters: We will be in a relegation battle.
@Jimbokav1971:
York ⬆️
Sarfend improvement 🔼
Woking going to be very strong💪
FGR similar again
Boston continue 2nd half season form ✅
Carlisle not in playoffs & Hughes gone by Xmas 👋
Boring Wood ⏫
Scunnny 👍
Morecambe more pain 😬
Brackley 👎
Truro struggle 👎
Halifax struggle 👎
Shots struggle 👎
@JSWC1995: York win the title. Brackley and Truro relegated.
@CleaveO: Scunthorpe will do well. York & FGR will both be up there again as will throw more money at it. Dale to make play offs again. Halifax to struggle following Millington’s departure. Morecambe further struggles. Second season syndrome for Tamworth?
@ellishall_12: Pools and Heed bottom half, Woking top 10 finish, Carlisle to start slow and pick up after August.
@GeorgeKirk36299: Promotion. Has to be this season if not it’s simply a failure. #ycfc
@OliverSteadman2: 14th and a decent cup run would do me just fine #bufc
@ytfctxm: too early to tell for us but hopefully we can actually make a play off push
@MITCHELLBARRON_: Dale have to be aiming for top 3 this season. Anything less is a step backwards
@Mason4518746141: We’re gonna be around 15th I reckon #wearethewood
@Zachytalb: Think we will manage well will take a mid table finish #wearethewood
@Garysparrow88: I know it’s early Days but quite fancy Rochdale. Dark horse I fancy Woking as Ardley worked wonders and the form when he took over was close to championship form. Wealdstone for me early faves to drop after Gibson not carrying on.
@harryknight987: York up fgr pow and brackley to finish rock bottom Yeovil 9th and 26/27 we secure play offs
@ed0983873: York win league, playoffs, Carlisle, FGR, Gateshead, Southend Rochdale, Sutton, relegated, Morecambe wealdstone eastleigh and aldershot
@Chris4RAFC: I expect my team @officiallydale to be in the top 3 next season but I know it will be tough with York and Carlisle already spending big etc but that’s all hope at the moment , I just hope we recruit well
@zac_sufc: Scunny mid table anywhere from 17-13th will do me I reckon Boston will be around there too with morecambe finishing 18th 😊
@TINNERSALFIE: We were relegation favourites last season as well btw look how that turned out. 15th-18th for Truro I reckon
