Gibbs-White has become a pivotal member of the Forest squad since his arrival in 2022, leading by example on the pitch and playing a vital role in the Club’s back-to-back Premier League campaigns, in addition to earning himself four senior England call-ups whilst playing in the Garibaldi and becoming the first Forest player to represent the Three Lions in a senior international at The City Ground.
His energy, creativity and leadership have made him a standout presence in the dressing room and a key part of the Club’s plans for the coming season on the domestic and European stage.
Speaking after signing his new contract, Gibbs-White said: “I’ve felt at home at Forest from the moment I arrived. Here’s how fans reacted as Miltiadis Marinakis cheekily taunts Tottenham after Gibbs-White signs a new deal with Nottingham Forest…
@SixTimesLFC: Spurs activated a release clause, agreed personal terms, booked a medical and STILL bottled the singing of Morgan Gibbs-White. The term ‘Spursy’ has never had more meaning.
@GK1Spurs1882: Shows his ambition as a player! Won’t ever get a big move now. Will retire at that tin pot club
@NUFC2026: All your forest fans owe this man a apology and the club 👍
@Craig_Miller89: Bloke was literally at spurs to have a medical never kicked off head down and cracked on! Our no14 head turned and fained injury and refused to travel on tour!
@ashburtonsquare: I’m sorry but you have to applaud this from Morgan Gibbs-White. What does Spurs have to offer him apart from an ‘acoustic stadium’ with a go-kart track underneath? Kudos to you for staying at the bigger ambitious club.
@AlexBirdNUFC: Absolute fair fucks to Forest here. They have stood up to Spurs and said “No you arent having one of our best players” and offered him a lucrative deal to get him to stay. NUFC TAKE NOTES #NUFC
@APapadopoulos1: Forest will likely now pull the trigger on several signings. Felt like this one was a complicated deal to rush through. Fair play to Forest for getting this done. How fast the feeling can change. #NFFC
@dalesilvermat3: But what about the release clause 🤯
@SarcasticForest: Good morning Tottenham fans. Forest fan in peace. Just seen this morning that we have signed Morgan Gibbs-White from you until 2028. Is he any good? #nffc #thfc
@trentendermacca: Not a chance this happens if Marinakis hasn’t given Morgan personal assurances #nffc will be stronger and ready for whatever comps we are competing in this season by the end of the window btw
@abijane08: For every fan that got on his back about the potential “move”, with all he’s had going on, this guy has NEVER let us down, never shirked his responsibilities, been the ultimate professional… AND HE STAYS 🙌🏽 Morgan Gibbs-White plays for my football club ♥️🤍 #NFFC
@SimonLester24: Anyone know how to remove numbers and names from the back of an authentic football top. I bought my mate a Spurs top with Morgan Gibbs White on the back but we need a bit of a rethink now. 😉
@MattStevenson93:
Waka waka eh eh,
60 million is what they said,
Gibbs White is still a red! #nffc

I guess we will never fully know what happened and I along with many others jumped on Morgan when it looked like he was orchestrating the move.
In a world where Isak/Luiz/Wissa refuse to train, you have to admire MGW and give him the benefit of the doubt.
Now let’s build. #NFFC pic.twitter.com/U8CErOw8PT— Forestmad 🔴⚪️ (@forestmad80) July 27, 2025
Moment of appreciation for MGW. Whilst we’re seeing other stars at other clubs like Isak etc downing tools refusing to train/play games in pre-season forcing a move.
MGW has done none of that, got his head down and signed a new deal. Credit where it’s due. #nffc pic.twitter.com/i4P7rgc0Iz— Forest Review (@Forest_Review) July 26, 2025
