When is England’s trophy parade? Date, time to see Lionesses

England have announced the details of their official celebration after retaining their Women’s Euro title by beating Spain in the 2025 final.

The Lionesses are heading home after Alessia Russo’s second-half equaliser, Hannah Hampton’s penalty saves and Chloe Kelly’s decisive spot kick earned Sarina Wiegman’s side a 3-1 shootout win over the world champions following a 1-1 draw in Basel.

“The Lionesses’ incredible win has done our country proud,” said Lisa Nandy, the Secretary of State for Culture Media and Sport. “Now we have the chance to cheer these heroes home.”

England parade 2025 ‘history’

“We are so proud of all of the players, Sarina and the support team who have all been part of this incredible achievement,” said FA chief executive Mark Bullingham.

“They have all worked unbelievably hard and we know the nation shares our pride. The victory celebration in London on Tuesday will give England fans an opportunity to celebrate with the players and be part of history.

“We’ve had amazing support from our fans both in Switzerland and at home throughout the tournament, and we look forward to celebrating together and creating some lifelong memories.”

When did England win the title?

England entered the final on Sunday, July 27 looking to avenge their 1-0 defeat to Spain in the 2023 World Cup final, but Montse Tome’s players had the better of the first half and went ahead through Mariona Caldentey’s header from former Manchester United defender Ona Batlle’s cross.

Reliable provider Kelly’s left-wing delivery afforded Arsenal’s Russo the chance to equalise with a looping header after the break and, although they held on for much of extra time, England stormed to victory in the shootout.

2022 player of the tournament Beth Mead’s opening penalty was stopped by Cata Coll, who also turned captain Leah Williamson’s attempt away, but Hampton saved from Caldentey and Ballon d’Or Feminin winner Aitana Bonmati before Salma Paralluelo shot wide.

That left it to Kelly – scorer of the 113th-minute winner in the previous final, against Germany – to fire in the final penalty.
